Wij verzorgen halve dag haaientochten in Kaapstad vanuit False Bay. Het vertrekpunt, Simon’s Town, ligt op slechts 45 minuten van het centrum van Kaapstad, 15 minuten van Kaap de Goede Hoop en slechts 2 minuten van Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. De haaiensoorten die in deze wateren voorkomen zijn onder andere de Bronzen Walvishaai, de Zevenkieuwhaai, de Blauwe en Makohaai, met af en toe een Grote Witte Haai. Ongeacht de soort – je perspectief zal voor altijd zijn veranderd, ver voorbij je wildste verbeelding. Walvissen, dolfijnen en vele soorten zeevogels kom je vaak tegen op deze avontuurlijke expeditie. Omdat we een ecosysteemstijl hanteren om onze reizen te beheren, is het op zee gaan met Apex hetzelfde als op een safari game drive gaan en we zullen proberen om zoveel mogelijk zeedieren in ons op te nemen tijdens onze reizen. Omdat reizen gebaseerd zijn op natuurlijke gebeurtenissen is elke reis anders en zijn waarnemingen niet gegarandeerd.

De bemanning heet u welkom in Simon's Town op slechts 45 minuten van Kaapstad. Gasten krijgen voor vertrek een volledige veiligheids- en waarnemingsbriefing aan boord van White Pointer II. Vertrek naar het historische Seal Island, dat is een 25 tot 35 minuten durende boottocht op basis van zee en weersomstandigheden. Mocht verbazingwekkend Cape Point de locatie voor de reis zijn, dan is de boottocht +- 50 minuten. De totale duur op zee is 3-4 uur, afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden en de haaienactiviteit. Thee en koffie zijn verkrijgbaar in ons haaiencentrum in Simon’s Town. Blader door ons unieke assortiment haai-gerelateerde merchandise en bekijk onze wall of fame. Er kan een bekend gezicht of twee zijn. De tocht is afhankelijk van het weer en het getijde dus tijdsloten zijn GEEN bevestigde tijden. Zorg ervoor dat je de hele dag beschikbaar hebt, want tijden kunnen alleen de dag ervoor worden bevestigd en zijn niet onderhandelbaar. What an incredible experience! The crew were lovely, really friendly and experienced and put everyone at ease. Our 13 year old son was really excited for this trip and it didn't disappoint. We visited seal island which was an awesome sight and then went on to dive with around 15 bronze whaler sharks. We would highly recommend Apex Shark Expeditions. This was a real highlight of our visit to Cape Town.
My partner and I booked the shark cage diving experience and we honestly had one of the most incredible experiences to date. Everything from communication, the team, and the experience was outstanding. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the receptionist (who deserves a special mention, she was lovely and also gave some great food recommendations for us). The team on the boat were awesome, a mix of very friendly/great knowledge, and great people skills to calm some nerves and get everyone ready. We saw everything, Sharks, Whales, Dolphins, Seals and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. We can’t recommend the company enough and would suggest the team to anyone wanting to get some shark diving experience.
I had an absolutely amazing morning with Apex Shark! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible — so knowledgeable, professional, and super friendly. They made everyone feel welcome and completely at ease, taking the time to explain everything and answer all our questions. It was honestly one of the most magical experiences of my life. I was a little nervous before getting into the cage, but as soon as I was in the water, all my nerves disappeared. Seeing the bronze whaler sharks in their natural habitat was truly breathtaking. They were so beautiful and graceful — an unforgettable sight. I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat. An amazing day on the water with the super knowledgeable, friendly and fun Apex team. My fiancée and I were super fortunate to see a humpback whale, 100s of dolphins and then get to cage dive with Bronze Whaler sharks - an unforgettable day made all the better by the Apex team.
Fantastic experience, professional, friendly and informative team. From Dolphins swimming along the boat to Seal Island, to the experience itself everything was excellent and some responsibly to both the marine wildlife and the guests onboard. Thoroughly recommend!
Amazing experience with an experienced and awesome team. The shark cage dive is a thrilling experience and there is no better place to enjoy it. The team support is top notch in every step from the pre briefing and all the way to get in the cage.
This was a great experience. The communication prior was excellent and the trip was exactly as described. It is a baited dive however you will certainly see lots of sharks and fur seals! If you are scuba certified you also have the option of using air (as a pre-request).
We had the best time ever!!!! We saw so so so many sharks, I counted at least 25. Brandon and Rebecca were absolutely amazing, the sweetest people ever. Can’t recommend enough! Felt very safe the entire time and had a blast!!
From start to finish the team looked after us, making sure we were briefed well and ensuring we understood everything. We saw dolphins, seals and the main event we experienced sharks whilst in the cage. All very professional
The trip was in the morning the shark activity was really good with around 10 bronze whaler sharks and the added bonus of some dolphins on our way out.
