Het natuurlijke aquarium Blue Lagoon is vernoemd naar de gelijknamige film met Brooke Shields in de hoofdrol, een filmklassieker uit de jaren 80. Het turquoise water, de veelkleurige vissen en de filmische schoonheid maken het tot een van de meest bezochte en overwogen plekken in Ilha Grande Bay. Het immense zwembad is een onderwaterreservaat met een ongelooflijke biodiversiteit. Drijvend onder de koraaltuinen worden bezoekers al snel omringd door kleurrijke scholen die niet gewend zijn aan de lekkernijen die toeristen bieden.
Flechas-strand: Op Praia das Flechas zorgt de weelderige omringende vegetatie ervoor dat het smaragdgroen van het Atlantische Woud weerspiegeld wordt in de zee die dit strand omspoelt. Met zijn lange zandvlakte is Praia das Flechas perfect voor zowel mensen die van rust en stilte houden als mensen die van een gezellige drukte houden, vooral in zonnige weekenden wanneer het hier druk wordt. Het zandstrand, waar het eerste restaurant van Gipóia was gevestigd, de zeer traditionele Bar do Luiz, maakt het gemakkelijk om na de lunch een wandeling te maken zonder het imposante Ilha Grande en het komen en gaan van de speedboten die in de baai varen uit het oog te verliezen. De plaats heeft ook een gastronomische infrastructuur en accommodatie.
Grumixama Beach is een van de stops aan de Ilha Grande-kant van het eiland. Grumixama Beach is een klein maar charmant strand met licht zand en een rijke vegetatie van het Atlantische Woud. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de toevluchtsoorden van de regio omdat het niet erg populair is, en het is de ideale plek om te ontspannen in een heerlijk zeebad. Het heeft een goed stuk zand en kalm, transparant water. Het is geschikt voor watersporten zoals snorkelen en duiken en wordt omgeven door veel groen. De rustige omgeving is ideaal voor natuurliefhebbers, heerlijk om te lezen of de prachtige zonsondergangen te bewonderen die vanaf hier te zien zijn.
Het eiland is een van de schatten van Angra dos Reis. De verbazingwekkende natuurlijke schoonheid heeft kalme, kristalheldere wateren van adembenemend turquoise blauw. Perfect om te zwemmen, snorkelen en het onderwaterleven te observeren. Het fijne witte zand is ideaal om te ontspannen en te zonnebaden. De bewaard gebleven inheemse bosvegetatie creëert een uitbundige en uitnodigende omgeving.

A beautiful destination and fantastic food at the restaurant, I recommend it, my family and I loved it
This is my second time taking a speed boat in Angra to visit some of the more secluded beaches and locations like botinhas, only accessible through a boat. The woman that met us at the pier was sweet and made the onboarding process easy. However the boat was a different story. In comparison to my previous speed boat trip, this entire adventure was rushed, and very little care was given in taking us to locations to enjoy ourselves. Our first stop for 45 minutes was nice. After that, we loaded up on the boat and went to a new location. The water was beautiful and blue, but the guide said it was dirty and said he would take us to a different spot. The spot we arrived at had trash floating everywhere in the water, but I got out of the boat anyways and walked the distance of the beach. Getting back to the boat I noticed the guide was occupied with his phone, so I asked if there was a cleaner beach we could go to, as there was trash floating everywhere here. He simply said “yes”. After that, we parked in Lagoa azul, left , then docked somewhere else for lunch. That was pretty much the entire trip highlight. A major disappointment and certainly not worth the 400 reais I paid prior to the 100 reai tax at the central station.

Fantastic walk! The boat well in order, the pilot very polite, attentive and passed a lot of safety to the tourists. I recommend!
Worse would have been like, we only went to the first stop. Because, according to Marcel, who was driving the boat, Viva Angra, the wind was very strong. We boarded and went to the next island, on this itinerary some things went very wrong, we moved at a speed higher than recommended for the sea/wind conditions, the people were not properly accommodated in the most behind the boat and, worse, a door was not properly locked, abruptly opening and breaking the fingers of my cousin's hand that was near the aforementioned door. We had to go to Ilha Grande, where we had lunch and returned to the hotel when it was possible. With the Junior-driven vessel following safer protocols, compared to the previous driver, accommodating the passengers backwards and coming at a speed compatible with the conditions of navigation. Except for my cousin who should go to the hospital, while telling these facts I had news that he was even taken to the hospital. We have a video of the panic moments we've been through, I haven't decided if I'm here yet.
