Wonderful tour of Santa Cruz with history of the Jewish community and their many contributions to the history of Spain. Anna has an incredibly thorough background and knowledge of history, architecture and archeology. Anna was able to help focus a vast history of Spain through the lens of the Jewish contribution.

Despite the minimal evidence left in Seville of the Jewish history in this area, the guide did an excellent job relating to us the history of the Jewish population. He was personable and at times funny. He did spend a bit too much time discussing interesting issues such as operas in Seville, but these were off topic. Although he discussed the massacres of 1391 he did not discuss how this spread through Spain and how it may have been related to bringing the inquisition to Spain. All in all, a worthwhile tour.

Carmen, our guide was warm, kind and intelligent. We were supposed to have an English Speaking guide, but through your mix up we were given Carmen who is Spanish speaking! We decided to make the best of it and we communicated using her little English and our little knowledge of Spanish. She helped my husband who is getting old and walks slow and she knew her way through wiring streets of the old Jewish neighborhood.

The tour was more about the general history of area rather than about the Jewish history of Santa,Cruz area. There were a few references to the Jewish history but I was expecting more

Anna was very nice and knowledgeable about the Jewish quarter. The only thing we would change is maybe some other facts about buildings along the way. Another tour group joined us in the same spots inside the quarter but we could hear that guide enthusiastically talking about other things as he walked.
