Aan boord van onze comfortabele en luxueuze 4x4 Ford Raptor-truck brengen we u met maximaal comfort en veiligheid naar de hoogste punten van de bergen die de krater van Sete Cidades omringen. Daar heb je een adembenemend uitzicht over de lagunes en slapende vulkanen (bij mooi weer). Onze gidsen beantwoorden altijd graag uw vragen over het eiland en laten u de meest fantastische plekken zien, waarvan sommige alleen toegankelijk zijn met terreinwagens.

Weids uitzicht over de bergen van het Sete Cidades-massief en de noord- en zuidkant van het eiland.
In de buurt van Serra Devassa ligt de Muro das Nove Janelas, een aquaduct dat wordt beschouwd als een erfgoedsite van historische waarde.
Met dit uitkijkpunt kunt u de schoonheid van Lagoa das Sete Cidades en al zijn omgeving aanschouwen, en kunt u ook een deel van de noordkust van het eiland São Miguel bewonderen. Daarvoor stoppen we bij Pico da Cruz, een geologisch kenmerk dat zijn hoogste punt heeft op 845 meter boven de zeespiegel en deel uitmaakt van het massief van Sete Cidades.
Sete Cidades is een Portugese parochie in de gemeente Ponta Delgada, autonome regio van de Azoren, met een oppervlakte van 19,22 km² en 701 inwoners. Hier zullen we een stop maken om de meren te bekijken.

Het biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de Sete Cidades-krater, met de Sete Cidades-lagune op de achtergrond. Het is een van de bekendste ansichtkaarten van de Azoren.

We spent a great afternoon with Felipe. The weather cleared in the afternoon and we saw amazing sights. Wonderful excursion.
Great overall tour of the west end of the island. Felipe was an excellent guide. Was easy to find him and communication was great. He took us in his 4x4 truck around the rim of the crater for some awesome views. The dirt road was very rough in places and not suited if you have back issues. We then drove to a village and to Sete Cidades where we stopped for a restroom break and snacks if we wanted to purchase. Continued the drive around the lake and across the bridge and stopped at a few more viewpoints on our way back to town. He offered to drop us off back at the ship or in town if we liked. Would recommend, the only thing missing was the bright sunny skies that would have given us the blue and green colors of the lakes.

Filipe was fantastic! Right on time, exactly where he said he would be. We sat out in his really nice truck with his informative but not boring commentary. We went at a nice pace usually staying just ahead of the crowd. Saw many great sights and stopped for a coffee and tart at a nice little place then headed back to the ship. The day was just perfect and you should not hesitate booking this tour. We really enjoyed Filipe and his knowledge. Thank you for a great day!
Wonderful day driving the caldera! Phillip was an amazing driver and guide. I had a wonderful time with him exploring Ponta Delgada.
Filipe is a great guide with lots of knowledge, the vehicle is clean and comfortable. He did a great job explaining the history and answering any questions I had. One thing to note: if you are easily nauseous in cars, this may not be for you, as the roads have a lot of hairpins, with lots of ups and downs, conbined with rough terrain.
Had an incredible tour with Filipe during our cruse stop and would recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure with a knowledgeable, safe, local guide who knows everything about Ponta Delgada and will show you the natural beauty of the island
Possibly the best tour we’ve done. Off-road was ace, we were the entry of every other group and our host was outstanding in local knowledge and excellent English. Everything about this was fantastic.
