De nostalgische tandradbaan, die in 1893 werd geopend, voert bezoekers naar het adembenemende Schynige Platte met een prachtig uitzicht over het berglandschap en de populaire wandelregio met een ongeëvenaard uitzicht op de Eiger, Mönch en Jungfrau

De reis is zonder gids, u kunt gewoon instappen. U vindt de locatie/GPS van het vertrekstation op Google en op de website van de Jungfraubahnen. De liefdevol onderhouden historische locomotieven en rijtuigen van de spoorweg maken de reis zelf tot een prachtige ervaring voor mensen van alle leeftijden. Hoogtepunten op Schynige Platte, op 1967 meter boven zeeniveau, zijn de Botanische Alpentuin met 600 verschillende soorten planten en vele wandelpaden. Tijdens het wandelen op de Schynige Platte komt u niet ver. Om de paar stappen stopt u om de sterren, schermen en klokken te bewonderen die bloeien op de weiden. Of u kunt stoppen om het panorama te bewonderen. Iedereen begint het tempo te vertragen. Als ze dat nog niet hebben gedaan: tijdens de nostalgische reis op de Schynige Plattebahn of later in het restaurant met zijn adembenemende uitzicht. Dagelijks kunt u tijdens het seizoen genieten van de warme tonen van de alpenhoorn van 11.00 tot 14.00 uur.

A ride up the Schynige Platte with the historic cars is great. The view becomes more fantastic the higher the track "climbs". A ride takes 50 minutes. Enjoy these, because I can't understand the people who sleep during such a trip.;-) The only negative: the day before our trip was storm and the timetable was limited. The limited timetable was also valid on our sunny, windless following day. Only, the SBB app did not turn on these restrictions. We had to wait for the next connection in Wilderswil for over an hour. On request to the SBB, we were informed that this was due to the Jungfrau Railways, because they had not communicated the information to the SBB. Communication between the two Enterprises has room for improvement.
It was just a super great day! From online ticket purchases to information about available parking spaces, rail travel to catering is a hit. Almost everywhere very friendly people who made the day a great experience. Added to that, we moved in an absolutely fantastic autumn day...

A unique experience!! Especially in autumn highly recommended when it has high fog and you can enjoy the sun and the early sunset. The place has fully convinced, everything was great.
We truly enjoyed this trip, train was nice and scenic and we enjoyed every moments seeing the beautiful lakes and Interlaken inbetween If in Interlaken never miss this trip
Perfect autumn hiking weather in the mountains means escaping the high fog in the midlands. The train ride from Wilderswil to the Schynige Platte through the mist into the sun is a great experience and the view of the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and many other mountain peaks was impressive.
It takes 52 minutes to travel with the historic cog railway. The view in fine weather is fantastic. ⛰️🌞🚂 For birthday children, the ride is on their day of honor free of charge and they receive first a sweet surprise im Bergrestaurant. 🧁
Stunning views everywhere. A delight. what a view! Slow and peaceful. The hotel at the top is so nice and a hot drink is welcome.
We have done this trip before and the views are amazing. I would like to complement the compilers of the treasure hunt. Our 10 and 8 granddaughters loved it and were further entertained by the puzzles on the way down. This free trail gave them much more satisfaction than expensive thrill rides on other peaks.
We made a very nice circular hike, but bought sunscreen before because we forgot at home. Over a beer, review everything.
