Schindler's Factory Rondleiding

While I know it may initially sound negative, and please don’t take it as such, but you should understand that it is a little deceptive in that a museum tour titled Schindler Factory Tour is mostly about WW2 history within Krakow, and not so much about Oskar and the factory itself. To be fair, that’s probably just as well as in reality, there may not be all that much to tell, but what there is was well covered on the tour in any case. If you are after a dedicated lecture on Oskar you may be disappointed, but don’t let that dissuade you from taking this tour as the presentation and museum production was fantastic. David, our guide, was spectacular in his delivery and was very patient as our group meandered through the tour. Additionally, know going in that it is not a tour of machinery, production and office space kept just as it was at the end of the war, but a series of hallway exhibits that cover nearly every facet of the polish experience under Nazi occupation. The end of the tour is specifically focused on the Jewish experience, which is right and obvious, but being an avid fan of history, I was pleased that the beginning was an overview of the events leading up to and how life was for the Poles during that time. The props were exceptional, providing both feel and context for the scenarios being presented and the production quality, even if some of the soft relics (like propaganda posters) were reproductions, it was so well done and authentic appearing that there was no detriment to the immersive experience. It was well put together to say the least. Do yourself a favor and take this tour. Like my wife and myself, you will be pleased that you did.

We very much enjoyed our tour. Our guide was excellent. She knew her history but was also passionate about it. It was very sobering and heartbreaking to be where history actually took place.

This was a very full tour. It is mostly about Poland during WW2 with info on Schindler's part. Grrat pictures and displays. Please note it is quite cramped spaces and very,very warm inside.

trying what happened, trying to live it emotionally, is an experience brilliantly explained in a chronological way.

Too many people in group. Was rushed and the educational experience was lost. Even the individuals were pushed around

Great tour. The guide explained the history very well. The museum showed the historical layout of the city well, and the 3D slideshow with historical photos was nice.

I would recommend you buy a ticket and walk around yourself. We couldn’t hear the guide and keep telling her to put the microphone by her mouth. It was incredibly crowded and stifling hot. On the tour you are unable to look at anything as you are moved on at each point, it would be better to buy a standard ticket and go at your own leisure.

A great insight into life in the Krakow ghetto and the brutality of Nazi occupation. A very comprehensive presentation of the history of the war years.
