Schilderachtige tocht door Soufriere
Beschrijving
Verken de schilderachtige hoogtepunten van het eiland! Soufriere met de drive-in-vulkaan en zijn zwavelbronnen, de adembenemende Piton Twin Peaks en een waterval in het regenwoud tijdens deze persoonlijke sightseeingtour. Reis langs de schilderachtige westkustweg, bezoek de beroemde Marigot Bay voor een fotostop, stop bij een bananenplantage en passeer schilderachtige vissersdorpjes. Bezoek een drive-in vulkaan in Soufriere met borrelende zwavelbronnen en neem zelfs een modderbad als je wilt. Zwem in het regenwoud in het natuurlijke zwembad van een waterval en proef onderweg vers fruit. Proef ovenvers brood van een lokale bakker, verse bananen van de plantage en geniet van onze huisgemaakte rumpunch en lokale bieren! Ervaar onze unieke Creoolse cultuur en lokale sfeer. Alle toegangsprijzen (alleen modderbad zou extra zijn), verfrissingen en snacks zijn inbegrepen. We proberen de grote drukte te vermijden en geven je een individuele rondleiding.

Stop om Marigot Bay te bekijken, de beroemde filmsetting en vaak omschreven als de mooiste baai van het Caribisch gebied.
Geniet van een adembenemend uitzicht op de Piton Twin Peaks, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staan. Oprah Winfrey heeft ooit de Pitons uitgeroepen tot een van de must-see sites over de hele wereld.
Rondleiding door de vulkaan met de borrelende zwavelbronnen, een actief geothermisch gebied van een ingestorte vulkaan die grote stoompluimen veroorzaakt. We kunnen letterlijk de vulkaan in rijden. Je hebt de mogelijkheid om tegen een kleine meerprijs een ontspannend modderbad te nemen in de hete "Black Water Pool".
Stop bij een plaatselijke bakker in het schilderachtige vissersdorpje Canarische Eilanden om ons traditionele Creoolse brood vers uit de oven te proeven
Rijd door een schilderachtig vissersdorpje; korte stop aan de waterkant waar u de traditionele vissersboten kunt zien.
Korte wandeling door regenwoudvegetatie naar een waterval waar u een verfrissende duik kunt nemen of gewoon het landschap kunt bewonderen.
Rijd door de historische stad Soufriere, ooit de hoofdstad van het eiland tijdens de Franse koloniale overheersing.
Rijd door de hoofdstad van Castries langs de levendige markt, de historische kathedraal en Derek Walcott Square (vernoemd naar de St.Lucian-schrijver die in 1992 de Nobelprijs voor Literatuur ontving
Rijd Morne Fortune op en bekijk de Victoriaanse residentie van de gouverneur.
We passeren de grootste bananenplantage van St.Lucia, waar we stoppen om uit te leggen hoe bananen groeien en waar u vers geplukt fruit van de boom kunt proeven.

Had a great time with Lloyd. He was personable, knowledgeable and ensured we had a good day. We wanted this tour to avoid having to pay for admission at the stops that required them. Bathing in the volcano mud bath was optional (we weren’t interested) and required additional admission if you were interested. He made sure we got to the best picture locations.

For eight hours Lloyd showed us his home, the island of St Lucia, and knew an answer to every question. To get around the big evening traffic jam, he drove safely up and down the smallest roads singing songs by Bob Marley!
Shal was a fantastic guide. He had a great attitude and it was obvious he was describing the island as a native, not someone reading a tour book. The roads on this island are insane by U.S. standards with nothing but steep hills, blind turns, no shoulders, and questionably two lanes. Couldn't pay me enough to drive it myself, but Shal handled like a pro and never made us feel unsafe. Tour itself shows all the highlights of the island without making us feel rushed or the standard pressure to buy add-ons.

The day was a bit overcast which added the low fog on the tops of the volcano peaks, making for a picturesque view....the mud bath though a bit daunting was an experience worth every minute, as the results left a lasting memory...one of nature's wonder and beauty worth seeing in St Lucia

We had such an amazing time during our tour of St. Lucia. From the fishing villages to the peton peaks, the island is filled with beautiful sights. We took a six-hour tour with a local guide, Loyd, who provided such an excellent experience --- he is one of the best tour guides we have ever had the pleasure of meeting during our travels. We would highly recommend taking a tour with Loyd if you're interested in seeing more of St Lucia. He Sheparded us to the mud baths, the waterfalls some beautiful beaches, stopping along the way to sample local foods and learn about the island's history.
