Bezoek het pittoreske wijngebied Matakana. Slechts een uur ten noorden van Auckland kunt u inheemse bossen en gigantische boomvarens zien voordat u door prachtige schapen, runderen en herten land passeert. Zie een 900 jaar oude Kauri boom. U zult genieten van een onvergetelijk open menu een gangenlunch in award winnende Plume Vineyard Restaurant en ook proeven van hun Runner Duck Estate Wines. We bezoeken drie verschillende wijnproducenten die op de dag kunnen variëren afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid.

Omaha Bay Vineyard is een charmant familiebedrijf dat uitstekende Bordeaux- en Rhônevariëteiten produceert zoals cabernet Sauvignon, cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot en Syrah. Ze produceren ook flora, Pinot Gris en Chardonnay. Gelegen op een heuvel zijn er prachtige uitzichten op de Stille Oceaan in de verte. Ze tonen ook een selectie van kunst en schilderijen geproduceerd door lokale kunstenaars en beeldhouwers
Geniet van een heerlijke lunch in het award winnende Plume Vineyard Restaurant en proef een scala aan van hun uitstekende Runner Duck Estate wijnen geproduceerd uit eigen wijngaarden
Proef wijn van druiven geteeld op hun eigen 20 hectare wijngaard. We lunchen af en toe in Brick Bay Vineyard café, afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid. Druiven die verbouwd worden zijn onder andere Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Syrah en Malbec. Ze produceren ook een mooie Rose' en sprankelende Methode Traditionelle

We verzamelen bij alle grote hotels en de meeste accommodaties in het Auckland Central Business District (CBD) de drinkleeftijd in Nieuw-Zeeland is 18 jaar. Als u er jonger uitziet dan 25 jaar, kan het zijn dat u een leeftijdsidentificatie moet overleggen. De enige wettelijk aanvaarde identiteitsbewijzen zijn een Nieuw-Zeelandse rijbewijs, HANZ-kaart of internationaal paspoort

This tour easily exceeded my expectations, which were already pretty high. John was excellent insofar as he made the trip both entertaining and educational. His knowledge of the history was impressive and his personality made it seem like you were touring with a friend. Without a doubt, I would not hesitate to recommend this trip.
Our second tour with John, and another fabulous experience. John is an excellent host & guide, and is very knowledgable on a wide range of topics. The time in the van passed very quickly with such an engaging host. Lunch at Plume was wonderful. Thanks for a great day!

We traveled to two wineries and had a nice selection of wines at each one. John is very knowledgeable about wine, this region, and was a great host. He engaged his passengers to see what everyone wanted to do. The lunch at the Plume was delicious. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Our tour guide John, was really great with commentary and had a very good knowledge of New Zealand. The winery’s were very nice. We had a very relaxing day going to the first winery, we also order a baked Camembert and crackers for $18, which was just heavenly to have with the wine tasting. We then headed off to Plume restaurant and winery. We did some more wine tastings followed by a very nice meal meal. The scenic stops allowed us to encompass the areas outside of Auckland. We thoroughly enjoy he day.

John made sure we had a great experience. Went to the wineries, the beach, honey store, and a few more picturesque stops. We highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Thanks John for everything. Most importantly for being a safe driver.

This winery tour was very enjoyable and John was so knowledgeable, he provided running commentary about the places we visited and New Zealand. We visited a number of beautiful scenic places on our way to two wineries. The wineries and lunch were superb and I would highly recommend this tour.
