Deze voormalige plantage was ooit het koloniale landgoed van Noble Jones, een timmerman die in 1733 met James Oglethorpe naar Savannah kwam. Dit landgoed bleef familiebezit totdat het door de staat werd gekocht voor gebruik als een historische site in 1973
Gelegen op de plaats van een voormalige plantage, was de begraafplaats te zien in de roman en film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Fort Pulaski ligt op het eiland Cockspur en is een van de best bewaarde forten uit de burgeroorlog. Kom meer te weten over het beleg van fort Pulaski in 1862 en de militaire technologie van de Unie die de Zuidelijke overgave dwong en de haven van Savannah sloot.
Tybee Island is van strategisch belang voor Georgië sinds het begin van de 18e eeuw, waardoor de noordpunt van het eiland een ideale locatie was voor een vuurtoren. De vuurtoren werd voor het eerst gebouwd in 1736 en was destijds de hoogste structuur (90 voet) in Amerika.
Na een rondleiding door de vuurtoren en historische ondersteunende gebouwen, gaan we naar de Tybee Pier en het paviljoen om het resortgevoel van dit charmante eiland te ervaren.

Great history, great sights, great guide. Good oversight of the historic events as well as current day Savannah and surrounding islands.
Andy was absolutely wonderful! We loved our VIP tour of Savannah so much! It was the highlight of our trip. His knowledge was incredible and extensive! Andy was so kind and easy to be around too. 10/10

We would give this 10 stars if able! Our tour guide, Andy, was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, entertaining and a natural story teller. He shared information, stories, historical trivia and tidbits throughout. And, took us to a lovely place for lunch - we enjoyed that time just visiting. This tour was well worth the price and the time as it gave us such a terrific overview of the Savannah districts along with the coastal islands and Fort Pulaski. Without the tour we would have not seen as much nor learned as much! If we return to Savannah, we will book any private tours with this company. Laura C

We thoroughly enjoyed our VIP Tour of Savannah. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending the day with him and learning about Savannah and its history. The tour agenda was flexible and allowed us to spend more time at some locations based on our interests. If you are going to take this tour, I highly recommend doing it on your first day in Savannah. This will give you a great overview of the city and its history. After that, you can plan which locations you want to spend more time visiting while in Savannah.
Our tour guide, Andy, was informative, professional and fun. The tour is a great way to see the Savannah historic district and so much more of the surrounding area all in one tour. The Bonaventure Cemetery was very interesting. It was my first time seeing a castle style Fort and the restoration is amazing. Overall it was a fantastic to see so much of Savannah in one packed tour.
We had the most wonderful private tour with Janine. She was so informative and made the tour very special for our family. She paid extra attention to our elderly mother which was truly appreciated. I would gladly recommend this tour to others.
