Y Linh Ho Village is de eerste stop op ons trekking avontuur. Nadat je je lokale Black Hmong Gids hebt ontmoet in je hotel in Sapa, zal je Gids zichzelf voorstellen en het reisschema van de dag uitleggen voordat hij je over een schilderachtig bergpad naar Y Linh Ho leidt. Bewonder onderweg adembenemende rijstterrassen, spectaculaire berglandschappen en rustige valleien. Je lokale Gids zal uitleggen hoe Black Hmong families indigoplanten kweken, oogsten en bereiden, en fascinerende verhalen delen over hun traditionele landbouwmethoden en het dagelijks leven. Ga verder met de trekking door de prachtige Muong Hoa Valley naar Lao Chai Village, een van de mooiste Black Hmong dorpen in Sapa. Wandel langs panoramische rijstterrassen, bamboebruggen, hangende cafés en traditionele houten huizen omgeven door een spectaculair berglandschap. Bezoek de historische Lao Chai-kerk voordat je stopt bij een lokaal familiehuis, waar je het volledige traditionele proces van hennepweven en natuurlijk indigo verven ontdekt. Leer hoe stof met de hand wordt gemaakt met behulp van technieken die zijn doorgegeven door generaties van Black Hmong-ambachtslieden. Geniet na de culturele ervaring van een heerlijke zelfgemaakte lunch bereid door een lokale familie. Ontspan ongeveer 30–45 minuten voordat u comfortabel met de auto terugkeert naar Sapa.

We had the absolute pleasure of doing our trekking and bike tour in North Vietnam with Sau, Pao and Do and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the first moment, they made us feel welcome, relaxed, and in very good hands. Both of them shared so much knowledge about the local culture, traditions, village life, and the surrounding nature. It didn’t feel like a standard tour – it felt authentic and real. The landscapes were breathtaking – endless rice fields, mountains, small remote villages, and stunning viewpoints along the way. Sau, Pao annd Do adjusted the pace perfectly to our level and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. What made the experience extra special was their personalities. Friendly, warm, patient and with a great sense of humor. You can really feel their pride in their home region and their passion for sharing it with visitors. We came across this guide (Ai) by chance. The tour we did was very nice. Visit of rice fields in the vicinity of Sapa. Visit 3 villages with a stop in a restaurant (simple and very good). Our guide was super nice and interesting. We definitely recommend.

1 day trekking tour and it was good. We originally booked 2 days but we felt 1 day was sufficient. Guide was knowledgeable and shared insight into life in Sapa. We rented wellies before the tour and this was a good idea. Track is very muddy and slippy but good fun
