Haal jezelf uit een sleur met een begeleide privérondleiding door de stad in het strandstadje Santos en bezoek de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden om er een overzicht van te hebben. Deze tour kan voor u zijn die op een cruiseschip naar de zeehaventerminal in Santos gaat of voor degenen die in een hotel in de stad verblijven. Santos heeft een rijke geschiedenis als een van de eerste nederzettingen in Brazilië, het dorp Santos werd gesticht in 1546. Het onderscheidt zich door zijn 7 km stranden, vlak terrein, tropisch klimaat, het aanbieden van geavanceerde toeristische infrastructuur, met veel hotels, flats , bars en restaurants, winkelcentra, rondleidingen en toeristische attracties voor elk wat wils, naast een bruisend nachtleven. De stad Santos heeft de grootste haven van Latijns-Amerika, een prachtig gerestaureerd historisch centrum en een belangrijk hoogtepunt is de grootste strandtuin ter wereld, vastgelegd in het Book of Records met een lengte van 5335 meter, vol met bloemen en zorgvuldig behandelde bomen.

Ontbijt in de stijlvolle coffeeshop van het koffiemuseum in Santos en bezoek het om meer te weten te komen over het belang van de koffie voor de Braziliaanse sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling. De coffeeshop biedt de mogelijkheid om alle soorten en aroma's van koffie die vlak voor het drinken is gemalen, uit te proberen.
Rijd met een tram omhoog naar de berg Serrat, een piek met een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht vanaf het voormalige oude casino op de top. De toegang tot de heuvel wordt gemaakt door een kabelbaansysteem dat de topheuvel verbindt met het centrum van de stad en elk half uur vertrekt. Vanuit zijn gezichtspunt is het mogelijk om een volledig zicht te hebben op de haven, het stedelijke deel van Santos en omgeving, het Bertioga-kanaal, de monding en de Barnabé en de Santo Amaro-eilanden. Op de top van de piek ligt een 17-eeuwse kapel van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Monte Serrat, patroonheilige van de stad en een van de historische bezienswaardigheden ervan, daterend uit 1603.
Bewonder het prachtige uitzicht op de kustlijn van Santos en de stad "Saint Vincent" (eerste permanente Portugese nederzetting in Brazilië) van het monument van Niemeyer op de top van de Porchat-eilandheuvel. Je kunt de hele kust zien, schepen aan de horizon, golven worden gevormd, mensen zoals mieren en paragliders vliegen rond! De belvedère werd geprojecteerd door de beroemde Oscar Niemeyer Architect en ingewijd in 2002 vanwege het 500e jaar van de "Discovery" in Brazilië. Het maakt deze plek puur nog specialer! Daarnaast kunt u genieten van een goede lunch in een leuk restaurant naast het monument van de Niemeyer. Het is een verplichte stop terwijl je in Santos bent.
Breng wat tijd door op het goed onderhouden strand met 's werelds grootste tuin aan het strand volgens Guinness Book of Records. Het strand heeft een verscheidenheid aan bomen, planten en bloemen verspreid tussen de straat en de rand van de stoep door het zand. Verschillende oefeningsstations en fietspaden als u in een gemoedstoestand bent, of banken om te gaan zitten en te ontspannen nippen aan een koud kokoswater direct van het fruit, lange witte zandstranden om te recreëren en te zonnebaden, een verscheidenheid aan mogelijkheden om te eten, en zeer kleurrijke verkopers over de gehele extensie.
Het Pelé-museum presenteert de geschiedenis van de beroemdste en meest geniale voetballer ter wereld, Pelé. Pelé speelde voor Santos, daarom is er in deze stad een museum aan hem gewijd. Het 5 verdiepingen tellende gebouwmuseum heeft een zeer uitgebreide verzameling prijzen en hoogtepunten over de 2 door Pelé gewonnen Wereldbekers voetbal, foto's en videobeelden, interessante feiten over speciale wedstrijden, tijdlijn van zijn leven en nog veel meer. Het museum is Engelstalig en kost niet veel om naar binnen te gaan. Een goede manier om een paar uur in Santos door te brengen.

Definitely recommend this experience. We were lucky enough to have Gus and also a great driver. Gus discussed our interests and enabled us to have an extremely interesting day. Our driver, Hicham, picked us up early from our riad, just as the streets were waking up. Within half an hour, the red walls of Marrakech gave way to open land. The noise softened, the air cooled, and the colors shifted from ochre to green. I remember a playlist of soft Moroccan songs playing in the van, sunlight spilling through the window, and the simple contentment of watching sheep cross the road. It already felt like another world.
