Ervaar een rustige en romantische reis naar de geweldige bezienswaardigheden van Santorini op een charmante houten zeilboot! De vredige sfeer en het zachte schommelen van de boot bieden de perfecte achtergrond voor een onvergetelijk uitje, waardoor u de schoonheid en rust van deze iconische zonsondergang en vulkanisch landschap ten volle kunt waarderen.

Na een korte tocht van 10 minuten bereikt het de kleine haven van Nea Kameni, waar de actieve vulkaan is. Uw tijd is er voor ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten waar u kunt lopen naar boven en bezoek dit wilde landschap met de verschillende vulkanische rotsen en de actieve kraters van de vulkaan, waar er nog rook uit komt en scherp ruikt zwavel. Na een korte tocht van 10 minuten bereikt het de kleine haven van Nea Kameni, waar de actieve vulkaan is. Uw tijd is er voor ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten waar u kunt lopen naar boven en bezoek dit wilde landschap met de verschillende vulkanische rotsen en de actieve kraters van de vulkaan, waar er nog steeds rook uit komt en scherp ruikt zwavel.
Om verder te gaan vertrekt de boot naar het eiland Palaia Kameni, waar de warmwaterbronnen zich bevinden. Binnen in de kleine baai van Agios Nikolaos is de watertemperatuur 30 - 35 graden Celcius maar het mengt zich constant met zeewater. De boot blijft ongeveer 30 minuten, genoeg tijd want er is geen strand, maar je moet via een ladder van de boot de zee in klimmen en een afstand van ongeveer 30 meter zwemmen naar het binnenland van de kleine baai, waar de modderbaden zijn.
Na het zwemmen bij de warmwaterbronnen vaart de boot rond de caldera waar u prachtige foto's kunt maken van het landschap en de huizen die letterlijk aan de rand van de klif hangen, in combinatie met de prachtige kleuren van de zonsondergang. Op een houten boot met zeilen, luisteren naar leuke muziek en genieten van een glas lokale wijn. Na zonsondergang keert de boot terug naar de oude haven van Fira.

The tour included a visit to the volcano island with a guided hike to the calderas if you wanted to participate, followed by a visit to the hot springs/mud baths on the island of Palea Kameni and then a stop for relaxing/food/drinks on the island of Thirasia before sailing slowly along the coast of Santorini between Oia and Fira finishing with a wonderful view of the sunset from the water. Be aware that the tour goes from the old port of Fira (as most of these types of tours do) which means you either have to hike down and up nearly 600 steps or pay €10 pp each way for either a donkey or cable car ride to get to/from the port area - this can considerably increase the total cost unless you opt for the walk. The only slight issue we found was locating the tour departure point/office once we reached the old port - we had allowed ourselves a good amount of time so this did not cause a problem but better detail on where to go within the old port would have been helpful.

Organised and well paced, excellent guide. Highlight for me was the hot spring swim! Bring dark coloured swim wear as the hot spring water is coloured and stains light coloured clothes. Value for money!

Very complete experience, we really enjoyed our trip around the Caldera, visiting the volcano in Nea Kameni and thermal waters near Palia Kameni, as well as even have some wind down time to explore and grab a drink in Thirasia before catching the sunset. Our tour guide, Kostas (Konstantínos) was phenomenal, very friendly and approachable and he even played some music and sang as we were watching the sunset. We had a great time and would recommend this cruise to anybody visiting Santorini.

Awesome! The hike up the volcano was hot and challenging. The hot springs fun. The sunset magnificent! On our cruise we had a wonderful guide who serenaded us with a guitar at sunset. Great!

10/10 experience. Our tour guide was absolutely exceptional, personable and professional, and he even serenaded us with some Greek songs while watching the sunset over the Oia caldera. While I wasn’t originally looking forward to the volcano, I can honestly say it was fantastic to see and to learn the history/geology of Santorini and the surrounding islands. Make sure to pack hiking shoes because it’s a decent hike to the peak! There’s plenty of time to explore and take breaks on the hike up. Overall, this tour was the highlight of my trip to Santorini. You really can’t go to Santorini without seeing the famous sunset from a boat, and this excursion is the best way to do it!!
