Santorini heeft niet alleen adembenemende uitzichten, maar produceert ook een scala aan wijnen van 40 verschillende inheemse druivensoorten (hoewel ze niet allemaal worden verbouwd). Beroemd om zijn Assyrtiko-wijn, is het productieproces geworteld in de tradities van het eiland, waarbij elke wijnmakerij een rijke en legendarische geschiedenis biedt, evenals een proefervaring. Deze tour neemt je mee op een reis door het eiland dat schilderachtige uitzichten combineert met uitzonderlijke kwaliteitswijnen. De wijnbouw op Santorini begon met de Venetiaanse bezetting van het eiland; de Venetianen begrepen heel goed dat de mineraalrijke vulkanische bodem van het eiland de beste wijnen zou opleveren. Je maakt een rondleiding door 3 uniek verschillende wijnhuizen; we zullen over het eiland reizen om de breedte te ervaren van wat Santorini te bieden heeft op het gebied van wijnmaken. Art Space Winery Musem Art Gallery is een uniek kunstcentrum in de puimsteen - uitgehouwen kamers van een oude wijnmakerij in Exo Gonia, Santorini en blijft van het jaar 1999 tot vandaag een gastvrij toevluchtsoord voor al die Griekse en buitenlandse ambachtslieden die delen dezelfde passie voor creativiteit. In de oude wijnmakerij uit 1861 zijn representatieve kunstwerken uit de schilder- en beeldhouwkunst te zien, die bezoekers de mogelijkheid bieden dicht bij de hedendaagse Griekse kunst en het verloop van de artistieke expressie in Griekenland te komen. Bovendien zet Art Space Winery regelmatig de traditionele wijnproductie voort en omvat in haar pand een eigentijdse wijnmakerij die gerenommeerde producten van hoge kwaliteit aanbiedt.
Een van de beste wijnhuizen in Santorini, Estate Argyros biedt een grote verscheidenheid aan Santorini-wijnen. U krijgt de kans om 3 verschillende soorten wijnen te proeven.
Venetsanos Winery ligt in Megalochori en heeft een van de beste uitzichten op het eiland. Het is de beste plek om lokale Santorinian Wine te proberen en de zonsondergang te zien. De wijnproeverij bestaat uit 3 verschillende soorten wijnen.

The activity started off great, the Gaia wines were delicious (the tour guide at Gaia was a bit kooky, and the tour was just ok) but we were there on time and had plenty of time there. Where it really fell apart was at the third stop where we were taken to a different, and inferior, winery than was promoted when we paid for it. The wine was just ok and we were disappointed because we were looking forward to the promoted third stop. Overall, we felt a bit cheated. Also, you get more of a taxi than a wine guide. Overall 3.5 stars.

Dimitris took us on a wine tour today to 3 unique and amazing wineries! He picked us up from our hotel, gave us a historical background as we drove around the city, and selected 3 wonderful wineries. We took a wine tour with Dimitris and had a fabulous time. He took us to 3 very different wineries - a very traditional winery, a modern one, and one with very beautiful gardens. While we come from a wine producing region, Santorini methods and wine varieties are very different, and we enjoyed learning about the process and the products themselves. We samples 13 different wines. Dimitris also took some great pictures to help us remember the day.

This was a great afternoon in Santorini. Not only did we get to experience three very different wineries but learned so much about how the grapes are grown and the history of winemaking. Afterwards we were treated to a trip up to the Monastery with unbelievable views of the island and a quick visit of the grounds.

We had a wonderful time on our afternoon winery tour and tasting. Angelo picked 3 wineries that showed us very different styles, and gave us a real feel for both the island and the unique way they grow their grapes. He was both very professional and friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone going to Santorini.
The wine at Art Space was definitely the best. But we had a great experience at all 3 locations. The views at Ventesantos were amazing.
