Bewegend op het tempo van je pedalen, ervaar je het landschap op een manier die geen auto of bus kan bieden. Een vleugje geschiedenis in het Tomaten Industrie Museum. Deze unieke bezienswaardigheid vertelt het verhaal van de beroemde kerstomaten van Santorini en biedt een nostalgisch kijkje in de traditionele productie en het erfgoed van het eiland. Vanaf daar leidt het pad u langs prachtige kustlijnen, waar het diepe blauw van de Egeïsche Zee samenkomt met vulkanisch zand en kristalhelder water. Naarmate u verder landinwaarts rijdt, komt het middeleeuwse verleden van het eiland tot leven. Door de schaduw van imposante Venetiaanse kastelen voel je het gewicht van de geschiedenis in elke steen. De route leidt dan naar de ultieme beloning : het adembenemende uitzicht op de Caldera. Staand op de rand van de wereldberoemde kliffen, is het panoramische uitzicht op de vulkaan en het eindeloze blauw echt een levensveranderende aanblik.

Op het strand van Vlychada in Santorini, met de indrukwekkende vulkanische rotsformaties, staat het Tomato Industrial Museum “D. Nomikos” met zijn karakteristieke schoorsteen die het maanlandschap domineert, vertelt verhalen, niet alleen over de zakelijke geschiedenis van Nomikos’ familie, maar ook over tijd, herinneringen en de bewoners van het eiland.

Het Venetiaanse kasteel ligt in het dorp Akrotiri, aan de zuidkant van Santorini. Naast het historische belang dat het tot een van de meest bezochte bezienswaardigheden op Santorini maakt, is het een prachtig uitkijkpunt van waaruit u de caldera kunt bewonderen.
Megalochori betekent 'groot dorp'. Als een dorp dateert Megalochori zoals wij het kennen uit minstens de 17e eeuw, waardoor het naar Griekse maatstaven relatief jong is.

Excellent bike tour with Yannis! The vibe was unique! Highly recommended activity in Santorini
It was an amazing experience! We had a family tour by e-bike ! This tour was not only an exercise but also an opportunity to learn about the history of the island! Yannis was an excellent guide and knowledgeable!! Totally recommended!
The tomato museum was actually really cool to see, we also tried a variety of ways they prepare them - each one was very delicious! The tour was a good pace, with awesome views and unique behind-the-scenes knowledge about this neat island! A must on your Santorini trip!!
We are a family with three older teens in June. This was an amazing experience. Its a great way to see the island with a little adventure and breeze. Yannis was an amazing guide. He was the perfect companion with fun facts and stories about the island. The snacks were delicious. This experience is much better than a boring personal driver and the bikes take you where the cars cant.
We had a great ride with Yanis! He was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and the bikes were in excellent condition. Ride was moderately challenging for middle-aged riders, but doable. Yanis safely took care of our whole group throughout the trip, And the mid-ride snack at the village taverna was fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!
We had a great time! The tomato museum tour before our ride was very interesting. Giannis is a great bicycle guide, with clear communication. Learned a lot about the island history and culture. It rained for a lot of our ride, but no problems. Love the e-bikes!
I would highly recommend this bike tour. We had a group of four and it was a lot of fun. The guide picked us up on time and was very friendly. The bike tour was the perfect mix of historical information and fun on the bikes. The bikes were nice pedal assist bikes that were easy to handle and comfortable. The guide spoke excellent English and had a lot of interesting information to share. This was a great way to see a part of Santorini that most people don’t get to see. Great experience!

We absolutely loved this tour! It was hands down the best tour we had in all of Santorini. The E-bike was fantastic- we loved the adventure of biking the small sidewalks to the rough rocks and loose sand. Even the steep climbs were fun. Yannis was fantastic. We enjoyed the history , snacks and great conversations. The view and bike ride along the cliff was spectacular. Even though I walked a bit. Don’t miss out on this adventure.
