Bezoek Firostefani, de zogenaamde "kroon van Fira", een ouderwets dorp gelegen aan de rand van de kliffen met prachtige uitzichten. Stop bij het schilderachtige balkon en bewonder de wilde schoonheid van de caldera zelf, samen met de drie klokken en de beroemde kerk met blauwe koepels, te zien op elke ansichtkaart van Santorini.
Omarm het beste van het dorp Oia. Uniek in elk opzicht met iconische blauwe koepelkerken, schilderachtige paden, adembenemende uitzichten en de meest spectaculaire zonsondergang. Oia, een van de meest gefotografeerde plekken in Griekenland, ligt op de top van een indrukwekkende klif en biedt een spectaculair uitzicht over de vulkaan en de Egeïsche zee. Het dorp heeft verschillende culturele bezienswaardigheden zoals: Het Maritiem museum, sporen van een Venetiaans fort en Kapiteinshuizen. U kunt net zo goed het grote winkelgebied verkennen en ontspannen in een van de vele openluchtcafés. De wereldberoemde zonsondergang in Oia is beschikbaar door een vertrek in de middag te kiezen.
Volg een wijntentoonstelling in de wijnmakerij Argyros Estate. Onder begeleiding van gespecialiseerde wijnopleiders. krijg gedetailleerde informatie over de producten van Estate Argyros Winery en de bijzonderheden van de wijngaarden van Santorini. Ga naar de berg van de profeet Elias en bewonder het meest adembenemende uitzicht vanaf de hoogste top van het eiland. Vanaf dit uitkijkpunt geniet je van een opvallend uitzicht over het hele eiland. De naam van de berg is Profitis Ilias (profeet Elias), afkomstig van het klooster met dezelfde naam op de top, gebouwd in 1711. In deze prachtige en vredige omgeving kun je net zo goed wijn en lokale producten proeven die zijn gemaakt door de monniken, die verblijf in het klooster.

We had our tour with Mario a few hours after arriving in Santorini, and he helped us to quickly understand the magic and allure of this Mediterranean paradise, from our southern starting point of Perissa to the famous northern area of Oia. Mario was friendly and helpful throughout the tour. I’d highly recommend this tour for a great overview of Santorini, especially early into an extended stay. Turns out we liked the laid back vibe of Perissa more than the pace of Oia, but I can’t knock the beauty of any part of the island.

Dimitri was an excellent guide for our tour of Santorini. He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area and each city or village. He allowed us to go at our own pace yet adhering to the itinerary. He was very personable and knew several of the local people. Just finished a fantastic summary tour of Santorini with Kostas and Santorini tours. Dimitri was the best tour guide on Santorini! He knew so much history about the island, having been born and raised there. Not only was the history lesson fascinating, the wine tasting tour was wonderful. Having been on different wine tours around the world, the Santorini wine making process is completely different from anywhere else. And the wines there are amazing! Since we are still on the island, we will be booking another excursion with them soon!

Our travel agent found this tour, and it did not disappoint! Our guide Mike quickly became our best friend, and hustled for our three hour time window to ensure we saw a lot- the views & experience of Santo Winery was a highlight! Our ship had to depart two hours earlier than planned due to wind, and Mike went above and beyond to help reschedule our non-tour affiliated dinner reservations too. This is one of the best tours we’ve done in any country.Thanos was a great tour guide show us all the hidden spots. We were late getting to our meeting spot by an hour, but still took his time with us showed us the whole island. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide. We did this tour with Mike and it was honestly the highlight of our trip to Thira (Santorini). Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
