Schitterende uitzichten, traditionele architectuur, charmante lokale bevolking en fantastische winkels maken Oia tot een van de meest populaire dorpen van heel Santorini. Geniet van een wandeling door het dorp en enkele smakelijke lokale lekkernijen.
Imerovigli, een van de vele pittoreske dorpjes langs de caldera in Santorini, is de thuisbasis van de kerk met de blauwe koepel, een van de meest gefotografeerde plekken op het hele eiland.
Het Profitis Ilias-klooster, dat bovenop het hoogste punt van Santorini ligt, combineert het geweldige uitzicht over heel Santorini dat onder u ligt met zijn prachtige Cycladische architectuur uit het begin van de 18e eeuw.
Hoewel het wordt beschouwd als de kleinste wijnmakerij van Santorini, produceert deze 150 jaar oude, door een familie gerunde boetiek heerlijke wijnen in kleine batches van een reeks inheemse variëteiten van het eiland. Rondleidingen door de ondergrondse grotten van de wijnmakerij worden vaak door de wijnboer zelf gegeven, waarbij een groot deel van de ruimte is gewijd aan galeriewaardige schilderijen en sculpturen. Wijnproeverij prijzen beginnen bij €5. We houden van deze unieke wijnmakerij vanwege de unieke mix van kunst, geschiedenis en vriendelijke gastvrijheid.
Perivolos is mijn favoriete strand in heel Santorini, en het zal ook van jou zijn dankzij het prachtige zwarte vulkanische zand en de leuke sfeer van het strandfeest.

We had Billy as our requested driver and it certainly was a great choice. He took to all the popular places providing great information the enjoy time. We were with Billy for 5hrs in a very comfortable car. Billy made the tour a great experience. He brought us to a very nice local restaurant on black sand beach. The best Greek Salad of the trip so far and the rest of the food we got was very good. Grilled octopus, fried shrimp and some pasta bolognese for me.

We have just returned from a 1-week cruise around the Cyclades. Before we left I knew that we wanted a more personal and tailored tour to explore Santorini than the cruise ship was offering. I booked a 'Tour with a local' and based on previous reviews I asked specifically for Billy to be our driver. I am so glad we did - it was a brilliant tour and possibly the best one we took during the week. Billy has an amazing knowledge of the island and after he had discovered I was interested in photography, he made sure we got to see locations that the usual tours would not have visited. The 5-hour trip zipped by as we visited beautiful little towns, a hilltop monastery, the red and black beaches and finished up in Oia for the infamous sunset. As the sun set, low cloud obscured the sun but, on Billy's advice he lead us to a great spot near the castle which gave stunning views back onto the town in the soft light. He even turned photographer himself and took some lovely photos of us. To sum up, this is a great tour. Billy personalised it specially for us and I know we saw a lot more than we ever would with a coach full of other visitors. Thank you Billy - sorry you missed out of a photo with Gulliver the travel bear!!
What an awesome way to explore Santorini when we just had one day on a cruise ship to see this island. Billy was tour guide and he was a 10 out of 10 and beyond. He gave us so much history and knowledge of the island also taking us to the best places that we could see in the short time that we had ion this beautiful island! We had such an incredible experience and would HIGHLY recommend !!!

Our tour around Santorini ( Thira) was a memorable and wonderful experience for my husband and I on our first ever visit to this amazing island. And we have Billy to thank for that- he’s an engaging easy-going, friendly, passionate and knowledgeable guide, flexible and he loves his work. He also was a great guide for the rocks and geology of this island and history too. We so enjoyed seeing around this island which is much larger and more varied than we imagined and no amount of photos can replace the living experience. We are so thankful for choosing to explore by private tour and Billy was the perfect guide for us.
Billy was fantastic. We ran late due to a busy tender port day, so he had to wait an hour for us. Even with us running late, we got to see all the places we wanted to see. Billy was very attentive to my husband, who had to walk with a cane. He was comfortable talking to and learning not only about Santorini but he himself. We would recommend him to anyone.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our private tour. Billy, our driver and tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and showed great enthusiasm. Billy did an amazing job accommodating our family requests on a hot Santorini day. We saw the monastery, local peninsula, shopping, all the key photo spots of the beautiful Greek blue, white, and cave architecture in the cliffs. We learned a lot and are some great foods. Black sand beach was refreshing. Great ☕️ 🧊 spot!
The views were amazing and Johnny our guide, was very knowledgeable about the island. His vehicle was very clean inside and out and he simply could not do enough for us. A great day, great value and a great way to see the Island.
We had a wonderful day with Ioannis (John) in Santorini! This private tour with just John and the 2 of us in a comfortable Audi sedan was just what we were looking for. Despite being from Thessaloniki, John spends months every year in Santorini and was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to adjust the sightseeing stops based on our needs and desires. This was the perfect private, customized tour! We saw the island from north to south and also wanted to add a winery tour, so he made a couple of phone calls then gave us 2 options, and we ended up with the perfect afternoon wine tasting with Greek mezes overlooking the shimmering Aegean. It was an absolutely great value and I highly recommend John and this tour!
