Beroemd om de zonsondergang, biedt het dorp Oia een spectaculair schilderachtig uitzicht op witgekalkte huizen en blauwe koepelkerken. Oia daalt de steile helling af vanaf de bovenkant van de caldera naar het water. Ontdek het grafische geplaveide pad met een lokale gids en bewonder het prachtige uitzicht op de Caldera.
Vanaf de rand van de caldera kun je de kleurrijke rotsformaties en de meest gefotografeerde blauwe koepelkapel bewonderen waar veel paren trouwen!
Red Beach is een van Santorini’s beroemdste en visueel meest opvallende stranden, gelegen in de buurt van het dorp Akrotiri aan de zuidwestkust van het eiland. Het unieke is het dramatische landschap : torenhoge rode vulkanische kliffen omringen een kleine baai van roodzwart zand en kiezels, waardoor een levendig contrast ontstaat met het diepblauwe water van de Egeïsche Zee.
Pyrgos Kallistis (vaak gewoon Pyrgos genoemd) is een charmant dorpje op een heuveltop in het hart van Santorini, bekend om zijn traditionele Cycladische karakter, kronkelende steegjes en een panoramisch uitzicht over het eiland. In tegenstelling tot de nederzettingen op de klif van Oia en Imerovigli, ligt Pyrgos in het binnenland op een van de hoogste heuvels van Santorini, met een ander perspectief op het eiland.
De Emporio windmolens zijn een kleine groep traditionele Cycladische windmolens gelegen op een heuvel met uitzicht op het dorp Emporio, in het zuidelijke deel van Santorini. Ze behoren tot de minder bekende bezienswaardigheden van het eiland en bieden een kijkje in het agrarische verleden van Santorini en enkele van de mooiste panoramische uitzichten. Historische betekenis Voordat moderne machines kwamen, speelden windmolens een belangrijke rol in het eilandleven. Aangedreven door de sterke Egeïsche winden, werden ze gebruikt om graan te malen tot meel voor lokale gemeenschappen. Zoals veel Griekse eiland windmolens, werden de Emporio windmolens gebouwd in een eenvoudige cilindrische stijl met witgekalkte stenen muren en houten zeilen.
Perivolos Beach is een van de langste en populairste stranden van Santorini, gelegen aan de zuidoostkust van het eiland. Beroemd om zijn opvallende zwarte vulkanische zand en kiezels, strekt het zich zuidwaarts uit van het nabijgelegen Perissa en biedt een heel andere ervaring dan de dorpen op Santorini.

I booked this excursion to celebrate my friend’s daughter’s 18th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect. We had such a great tour! ELIAS GRIGORIS was a wonderful guide and took us to some amazing hidden spots. He told us so much history about the island and definitely made us wish we had more time. If you are looking for a private tour to make your Santorini memories I would not pass on this one!
Elias and Kris picked us up at the top of the chair lift. we had 11 people with a car and a van. The vehicles were super clean and comfortable. We toured Oia. Kris and Elias were very knowledgeable about the sights. We then went to a fantastic restaurant on the beach and celebrated with the restaurant staff with dancing and breaking plates. We would never have experienced this fantastic place without Elias and Kris suggestion. The restaurant staff treated us like family. The food was the highlight. Fresh caught snapper and sole prepared whole. Iwould highly recommend both Elias and Kris to anyone wanting the skip the usual lines and crowded restaurants.
Elias picked us up promptly and started the tour in some incredible places. He frequently asked what our group wanted to do and carried out our requests. He made several great suggestions and we chose where to go. He topped the day off by taking us to an awesome local family owned seafood restaurant for a wonderful traditional Greek meal. I would highly recommend him and his partner in the 2nd van.
Had a fantastic experience with Louis! We were traveling with some elderlies and he was very accommodating and modified the trip to be able to handle both the slower pace of our grandparents and branching off for photo ops for the younger folks. He made good judgement calls and restructured the drive so we wouldn’t be stuck in traffic and we ended up hitting almost all the spots we wanted to see. (Oia, Red Beach, and Fira from 9am to 1pm - Skipped Black Beach but that’s understandable given our pace) Oia was the big ticket item and the busiest spot we had on our list but he helped us weave through the foot traffic and led us to photo ops that were less traveled to that were just as nice as the folks waiting in lines! Louis made sure to keep the grandparents comfortable while also keeping us on schedule, which is tough to balance. He was also very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and culture of Santorini. Would highly recommend! Much love from NYC
