Geniet van een dagvullende tour door het binnenland en langs de kust van het eiland Santiago, de beste manier om de cultuur, geschiedenis en landschappen van Kaapverdië te ontdekken. Na het ophalen in de ochtend reist u naar São Domingos, Órgãos en Picos om indrukwekkende bergen te bewonderen. Reis verder naar Assomada City om de lokale markt te bezoeken en het dagelijkse leven op het eiland te ervaren. Maak een tussenstop in Boa Dentro om de grootste en oudste boom van Kaapverdië te bewonderen: de 700 jaar oude kapokboom. Bezoek het natuurpark Serra Malagueta voor adembenemende uitzichten vanaf 1000 meter boven zeeniveau. Ga naar Tarrafal City om het historische concentratiekamp te verkennen, te ontspannen op Tarrafal Beach en te genieten van een duik in het zwembad en een lunch. Rijd 's middags langs de oostkust naar het dorp Rabelados en vervolgens via Calheta naar Pedra Badejo om de grootste bananenplantage van het land te bezoeken. This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour with a safe driver and knowledgeable guide. Eddie the guide went out of his way to ensure we good insight into the way of life on the island.

Edmilson has been very kind and careful in driving me around the Island stopping any time I asked for. Also some places are not to miss on this day tour: Assomada, Tarrafal, Serra de Malagueta, Rabaledos village and all the glimpes of rural areas and people along the route. Do not forget to take a look at Pico de Antonia silhouette on the way back to Praia when the sun is about to set.

Fabulous day-tour around the island with a dedicated, knowledgeable guide, Eddie. We completed a comprehensive circuit from Praia up to the north, then back south via the western side of the island. Eddie's English is superb and he does all he can to make the tour as interesting and exciting as possible. If you're planning to visit other islands, get in touch with Eddie or his colleagues to get the latest on inter-island travel options as they're hard to figure out from abroad.
