Het is 3 uur durende tour van de geschiedenis en interessante feiten over de zeer speciale plek in Florence - Santa Maria Novella kerk en plein, dat was de site van vele feesten en evenementen in het verleden. Het is de eerste grote basiliek in Florence, en is de belangrijkste Dominicaanse kerk van Florence. Binnen in de kerk ontdekken we unieke kunstmeesterwerken: Kruisbeeld van Brunelleschi, Fresco met Drievuldigheid van Masaccio, Kruisbeeld van Giotto, Cappella Tornabuoni fresco van Domenico del Ghirlandaio, de leraar van Michelangelo en nog veel meer. Our tour guide was excellent! Not only did she give us wonderful insights to Maria Novella and its pharmacy, but she had great recommendations about other places to go and see while we were in Florence. Her advice prepared us to know what to look for when viewing paintings and sculptures at other sites -- making those future visits much more enjoyable!
