San Pedro de Atacama: excursie naar de Tatio-geisers
Beschrijving
Bij het aanbreken van de dageraad boven de Andespieken, zult u de magie van de zonsopgang bij de Tatio-geisers kunnen aanschouwen. Gedurende de dag zullen onze tweetalige gidsen hun kennis delen over de geothermische wonderen, de inheemse flora en de culturele waarde van de regio. Voel de frisse lucht op grote hoogte terwijl je het geothermische veld verkent, waar heet water met temperaturen van bijna 86°C aan de oppervlakte komt, een schril contrast met de hoogte van meer dan 4300 meter boven zeeniveau. Tijdens de reis krijgt u ook de gelegenheid om de flora en fauna van de Putana-rivier te bewonderen. De ervaring omvat tevens panoramische uitzichten op het pittoreske stadje Machuca en een verkenning van het moerasgebied. Tijdens de excursie wordt er ontbijt aangeboden, zodat u even kunt bijkomen, van de omgeving kunt genieten en de ervaring vol energie kunt voortzetten.

Today, I went with my girlfriend on the Geyser tour with guide Manuel from agency Layana. A 7.0 in every sense. Concerned about the altitude sickness, he provided historical data and took photos of the group we were with. We had already had a tour with him last year, and his level of dedication is tremendous. If we go back again, we will request Layana and Miguel as our guides!

The Tatio Geysers are very interesting with a stunning landscape. The cold and the start time of the tour are the inconveniences.

Efficient and knowledgeable tour guide and driver. The geysers are interesting and the landscape on the drive back down is stunning. Breakfast was good. Be warned that it is VERY cold at the geysers (minus 7 degrees Celsius in mid/late March).

I came to Layana on the advice of a friend and it was the best decision. Manu and Andrea were our guides on the tours, demonstrating knowledge of the place and integrating us into the Atacamenha culture. The meals are excellent and the transfers comfortable, with large vehicles (14 people) for personalized groups, making the tours more enjoyable. I hope to be back soon. Greetings to the team.

It is the third most geyser place in the world so if you haven't seen any you have to go. When we went there was only one intermittent, the rest were fixed. You have to go first thing, when it dawns you can hardly see the fumaroles anymore.

Loreto and her team were fabulous about everything - punctuality, checking with group about washroom stops, introducing us to different characters of geysers, sharing astonishing historical information about the place, breakfast, etc. We all connected well, and felt very satisfied at the end of the tour.

We had a great tour to the geysers thanks to the great care team of Loretto and the two Daniels. Impressive natural spectacle of geysers and interesting information with lots of charm make this tour unforgettable. Welcome additions were breakfast with phenomenal views and some sightings of desert animals. Tip: be sure to follow the tips for acclimatization, the altitude of 4,200 m is strongly noticeable.

Fantastic tour! Such a unique place and experience. Loreto was our guide, sharing all of her knowledge about the culture and the places we visited. This tour was a full immersion in the local history, also we could see different birds and other local animals… besides great food and nice people
