Sami cultuur en korte rendier slee vanuit Tromso

Bezoek een rendierkamp buiten Tromsø tijdens deze 4 uur durende tour die je kennis laat maken met een beetje Samische cultuur. Je hebt de kans om een kudde van 300 rendieren te voeren, een ritje van 10 - 15 minuten met een rendierenslee te maken en vervolgens in een Sami-tent te verzamelen voor een warme maaltijd en om verhalen over de Sami-cultuur rond het kampvuur te horen. Een Gids brengt ook een joik, traditioneel Sami volkslied.

Na de ontmoeting bij het busstation van Prostneset neemt u de bus voor een rit van 25 minuten langs de mooie kust van Tromsø naar de bestemming, het Sami-kamp, waar de rendieren en de rest van onze gidsen op u wachten.
Geniet van een rit van 10-15 minuten met de slee terwijl de rendieren je door de vallei en langs de kust leiden. Daarna heb je de gelegenheid om 300 van deze prachtige dieren te voeren voordat je het wild betreedt voor een warme traditionele maaltijd gekookt boven het vuur. Sluit de dag af door rond het vuur te verzamelen en te luisteren naar Samische geschiedenis, verhalen en joiking (liedjes).
Rijd terug naar het stadscentrum. De bus stopt op dezelfde plek waar je onze gidsen hebt ontmoet aan het begin van de tour.

We were fortunate that we had heavy snow the days we were in Tromso which made the Reindeer experience all the more special. We were on the front sleigh and had the reindeer from the sleigh behind at the side of us all the time, an amazing experience. Feeding the Reindeer was nice too especially the young ones. Hot drinks were available throughout the trip along with cookies. The traditional lunch was amazing, we thought it would feel odd eating reindeer stew having just fed the herd but it was delicious. The Sami talk was a little confusing as it was all in German so we went back outside to enjoy the scenery sat next to the open fire with hot chocolate.

Well organised and friendly. Found the gift shop expensive- 820nok ( £60) for a small bell, postcard and tea leaf strainer. Turns out all these items were sold in several other places- even the airport. Hope the profit supports the Sami

Learned about the Sami culture and got to feed reindeer and enjoyed reindeer stew, The night was made perfect by a spectacular Northern Lights show.

It was amazing to see the reindeer herd in their natural environment. It was great to be able to feed them and wander through the herd. We loved the short reindeer ride and appreciated the woollen blanket. The favourite bit for me was the free hot chocolate and biscuits which were available for the duration of the visit. We enjoyed learning about the Sami culture too.

It was a really nice tour. Good overview and use of time. Perhaps a little pricier than would be expected for the quality of the tour.

Great Tour. Same exact tour offered by the Cruise Line. A lot cheaper. Only drawback is you go to them. They are not there at your ship. Fun time feeding the Reindeer. Staff was terrific.

Really enjoyed the beautiful scenery with all the gentle reindeer. Feeding the reindeer and watching them interact was a unique experience. And the sled ride was so much fun. The Sami guide was very entertaining and informative. I would go back.

This was a once in a lifetime experience for my partner and I. The reindeers are free to roam and come to you whenever they want to eat from the bucket of food provided. The scenery is beautiful and the short sledding was memorable. The storytelling was wonderful and we were happy to hear that we are promoting the Sami culture. The reindeer stew was really delicious.
