What an amazing experience!! The venue was easy to find and only a few minutes from the beach in the centre of town. Welcomed by Charly and introduced to our dance teacher, Ranaa. Ranaa taught us the basic simple Samba steps and we were dancing and moving to the music within minutes of the session starting. Instructions and explanations were easy to follow and time was spent with each of us, with 121 help at every stage. Ranaa was helpful and friendly and a really easy to follow teacher The icing on the cake was then donning carnival costumes and dancing Samba. It was a full hour of dancing and fun; an experience not to miss. I left on a total high and with a huge smile. Thank you Ranaa and thank you Samba Fit. Highly recommend.

Very basic. An hour is not enough for sure. Close local and there are still many people. Nice. Instructor very welcoming and kind.

We hired Civitatis for a samba class for my 9-year-old daughter. Upon arrival we are informed that the class was late and that the operator had informed us. We were greeted by an aggressive and violent Frenchman and a poorly educated Brazilian. They mistreated me and my kids, arguing that it wasn't their problem. Terrible experience in a city as beautiful as Rio and with such friendly people. Not recommended, too bad these people are on tour desks.

We did a session with Ana! What's fantastic, besides being smiling, she's a teacher, encouraging and warm. Trust him for your first steps of samba, you will not be disappointed!

Carla was an excellent instructor! Such a fun and energetic class. A highly recommended activity when visiting Rio! Samba for Beginners is suitable for single travellers, couples, families and groups.

I have always shied away from dancing but I decided to go alone to the beginners Samba group lesson to get out of my comfort zone and I had a lot of fun! I was 5 minutes late but Charly has great communication and he was able to help me locate the place. The moment I entered Carla the instructor made me feel right at home, there was no sense of awkwardness or pressure whatsoever you just follow Carlas movements and she assists you when necessary. I left feeling really happy, made some new friends, got some awesome photos and even learned a few moves - I highly recommend booking a lesson!

It was simply amazing! We were 6 people, with 2 couples of 20 years old , who really do not dance and had their reservations. We started to laugh from 1st min. It was pleasant, fun and very educational. Our teacher really taught us! And my kiddos continued to do the moves in the next days! Wearing real carnival costumes at the end for the pictures was a separate amazing experience! Totally recommend to anyone, who is open to real fun!

Such a fun experience! The steps were simple enough for a non-dancer to follow but hard enough to make you laugh when you catch sight of yourself attempting to look like a carnival queen in the mirror. 100% recommend!
