Dit is een diepe duik in de wereld van Dali. We tekenen een volledig beeld met diepgaande uitleg. We bezoeken de twee steden waar hij opgroeide, dus we gaan naar zijn wortels en volgen zijn voetstappen; “Figueres”, zijn geboorteplaats, met het iconische museum en de stad “Cadaqués”, bekend als de “Parel van de Costa Brava”, een idyllisch vissersdorp in mediterrane stijl, omgeven door een beschermd natuurgebied (Cap de Creus) beroemd om zijn unieke rotsformaties, een gebied dat Dalí’s verbeelding aansprak. Dit typische Daliniaanse landschap geeft je het gevoel dat je vastzit in een van zijn schilderijen. We sluiten af met een bezoek aan Dali ́s huis aan de "Portlligat Bay", Dali & Gala ́s eigen privé paradijs. Wij bieden de best mogelijke Dalí-tour aan om je te laten stralen als Dalí’s snor! 8.30 uur Start van de tour en vertrek uit Barcelona stad. Relax, leun achterover en geniet van de rit. Hotel pick-ups zullen plaatsvinden tussen 8:00 en 8:30 (30min ongeveer) en we rijden ongeveer 90min naar onze eerste bestemming
Onze eerste stop is Figueres , de geboorteplaats van Dali, waar 's werelds grootste en belangrijkste collectie van zijn werken te vinden is in het iconische Dali Theater-Museum. Dit is, hoogstwaarschijnlijk, in tegenstelling tot elk museum waar je ooit bent geweest! Het is een reis, een levende hallucinatie, we stappen in Dali's surrealistische wereld van verbeelding. Dit meesterwerk, "het grootste surrealistische monument ooit gemaakt" , is volledig ontworpen en ingericht door de man zelf en biedt u een wandeling door zijn leven. Je krijgt ’s ochtends diepgaand commentaar van je deskundige gids en na een korte introductie in het museum ben je vrij om Dalí’s verbeelding in je eigen tempo te verkennen, verwonderen en te verdwalen. We willen ruimte laten voor persoonlijke interpretatie, iets waar de kunstenaar veel belang aan hechtte.
Op onze weg naar buiten doorkruisen we dit beroemde deel van de stad vol bezienswaardigheden en prachtige architectuur
We brengen de ochtend door in dit kleine en mooie stadje dicht bij de Franse grens. Het heeft een lange geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de middeleeuwen, toen de stad werd gesticht in de 9e eeuw. Er zijn verschillende pleinen, leuke straatjes met winkeltjes, een prachtige Rambla promenade afgezien van verschillende hommages aan Dali in de oude stad die allemaal in je eigen vrije tijd kunnen worden verkend. In totaal brengen we hier ongeveer 2,5 uur door, inclusief de tijd voor uw bezoek aan het museum.
Tijdens onze rit doorkruisen we dit bergachtige beschermde Nationaal Park dat de stad Cadaqués omringt. Het zal ons een spectaculair uitzicht bieden over het gebied van de Empordà, de prachtige stranden van de Costa Brava en we zullen waarschijnlijk de Pyreneeën bergen in de verte zien. Let goed op het landschap en je zult veel elementen vinden die zijn verbeelding prikkelden...
13:30 uur En ja, we zijn aangekomen in Cadaqués! Dit is, naar onze mening hier bij Joyous Tours, het juweel van de Costa Brava. Het is zo'n prachtig en goed bewaard gebleven oude vissersdorp met witgekalkte huizen, zeer mediterraan. U krijgt voldoende vrije tijd om te genieten van een mediterrane lunch met enkele van de meest verse vis en zeevruchten en om wat te verkennen in het dorp
15.30 uur Na een heerlijke lunch nemen we de schilderachtige route door het beschermde Nationaal Park van Cap de Creus, om u wat meer van dit unieke landschap te laten zien, terwijl we op weg zijn naar de prachtige Portlligat Bay. Dit was de meest inspirerende plek ter wereld voor Dalí en de plek waar de meeste van zijn beroemde schilderijen werden gemaakt. Hier vinden we zijn huis en studio, Dali en Gala's eigen privé paradijsje. We worden door het huis geleid, we lopen zijn atelier binnen en later kunnen we ook nog vrije tijd doorbrengen in de tuin. Daarna gaan we terug naar BCN. Tijdens onze rit terug naar de stad kun je al deze nieuwe indrukken verwerken, deze unieke ervaring in onze gedachten herbeleven of gewoon even snel inslapen. *Soms in het geval van LAST MINUTE boekingen tijdens het drukke seizoen (april-september) kan het Dali House uitverkocht zijn. In dit geval kunnen we het 30 minuten durende bezoek in het huis niet doen, maar we bezoeken de baai nog steeds, we doen uitleg van buitenaf en we bedekken de tuin
7PM ca. We komen aan in Barcelona. We brengen u terug naar uw accommodatie en we sluiten een onvergetelijke dag af. Hopelijk liet het je stralen als Dalí ́s snor!!

Wonderful day immersed in Dali and the region he grew up in. Jordi was very knowledgeable about Dali’s life and works and went into detail gradually on the journey to Figueres and carried on. There were times when I was left to wander the museum and take in by myself, which was welcome, but not before he pointed out things to look for. Lunch in Cadaqués was a welcome break to enjoy the village and scenery before exploring the house in a bay just over the hill. It’s a long day with the drive back but well worth it.
Jordi from Joyous Tours provided a totally immersive experience. His knowledge of the life and times of Salvador Dali is impressive! He used our travel time to the various locations (Figueres museum, Cadaques, and Port Lligat house) to enlighten us, giving us an understanding of the important influences informing Dali's art and public lifestyle, all without being overbearing. Jordi is the best kind of host/guide.

We were really looking forward to the Dali museum and house, and Jordi made it special. He has extensive knowledge of Dali and the people related to him as well as the history of Spain. We peppered him with questions about a wide range of topics and he thoughtfully answered every single one, including information that helped us better understand what we had experienced at the museum. In addition, he went above and beyond when he took us to look for a stolen iPhone that was pinging about a mile away from our Airbnb. Unfortunately, we didn’t retrieve the phone but we were impressed that he tried to help us. In addition, Jordi is a very good driver and we felt safe and comfortable. We had considered renting a car and driving ourselves but we all agreed that it was a much better experience with someone there to guide us.

It is an intimate, beautiful labyrinth. It was Dalí and Gala's private sanctuary—a white, eccentric home with egg roof and the studio where he painted. Essential for fans.

I was a little worried when I booked this excursion, as there were no other reviews, and it was a full-day and relatively pricey trip. This trip far exceeded our expectations and was worth every penny. Jordi is a very knowledgeable guide with a fun sense of humor; he has been a guide for some time, and is now starting his own business (Joyous Tours). He arrived at our hotel right on time and drove us in a private car to the Dali Museum, which is quite something. It may not be to everyone’s taste, but Dali himself created the place, and it is well worth a visit. After a couple of hours there, we drove to the very charming seaside town of Cadaques. We took a short walk to see the beautiful old Gothic church and had lunch on our own at a casual seaside place. We then drove a short distance to Dali’s home, which was absolutely the highlight of the trip — set in a beautiful location and where the artist lived with Gala for years. We are so glad that we saw both the Museum and Dali’s home together — it gave us a new appreciation for this artist. In addition to providing us with extensive information about Dali and his history, Jordi provided us with information about Catalonia and Barcelona and answered all of our questions. This was SO much better than a trip in a large bus with many other tourists. We wholeheartedly recommend any tour organized by Joyous, and we wish Jordi much success!
