We bezoeken de kathedraal van Salerno, gewijd aan San Matteo, de patroonheilige van de stad. De kathedraal heeft een van de mooiste crypten van Europa bewaard.
Het archeologische complex San Pietro a Corte, is een gebied in het historische centrum van Salerno, waar het archeologische bewijs van de verschillende historische afwisselingen vanaf de eerste eeuw na Christus is gedocumenteerd en zichtbaar.
In het gezelschap van onze fantastische gids zullen we de monumenten en tradities ontdekken van deze zeer aangename kuststad, die altijd een belangrijk commercieel centrum is geweest. Via de Via dei Mercanti komt u bij de kathedraal, een zeer belangrijk Romaans monument, met zijn prachtige atrium, zijn kostbare ambos en zijn prachtige crypte.

Wonderful lady and informative guide; I would suggest a walking tour in Salerno and see a breathtaking Saint Matthew cathedral.
Had a lovely walk around the city with Martina this morning. She was very informative
Small group walking tour of 4 couples. Easy pickup point in the cruise port. Tour was about 2 hrs and was very informative about the history of the area and the different architecture throughout the centuries. The tour was in the oldest part of the town and quite delightful. Our guide ( sorry forgot her name) was wonderful.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a private tour as it was a Sunday morning in Nov. Our guide has lived in Salerno all of her life and really shared her love of the area. Such a great way to learn about Salerno from a local!
Our tour guide was well informed and charming. We learned some history and saw parts of Salerno we might not have found on our own. A lovely city.
Martina was a great guide. She explained in great detail about the history of the city and its development into the study of medicine. We really enjoyed her tour.
