Ga mee op een uniek Saigon avond streetfood avontuur, waar we je meenemen op een culinaire reis buiten de gebaande paden om authentieke lokale smaken te ontdekken. U proeft gerechten uit Noord-, Centraal- en Zuid-Vietnam. Opgehaald worden bij het verzamelpunt, Huyen Sy Church, en dan laten we het toeristische gebied achter en lopen we naar de omgeving. Begin je eetavontuur in de niet-toeristische wijk. Hier is het hoogtepunt van wat je met mij gaat doen: Dertien proeverijen van authentieke, heerlijke streetfood in de omgeving

Hotel pick-up inbegrepen. We halen je op bij je hotel in district 1. Als je buiten district 1 blijft, ontmoeten we je bij het ontmoetingspunt, Huyen Sy Church in District 1

Wandel door kleine steegjes naar een lokale verkoper die knapperige reus "Bánh Xèo" en hapklare "Bánh Khọt" serveert. Rijstpannenkoeken in zuidelijke stijl, gecombineerd met een overvloed aan verse Vietnamese kruiden. Als we bij onze eerste stop aankomen, wordt u begroet door de aanblik en het aroma van sissende pannenkoeken die vlak voor uw ogen worden gekookt. Onze deskundige chef-kok zal de kunst van het maken van Banh Xeo demonstreren en de techniek en vaardigheid demonstreren die nodig zijn om de perfecte knapperigheid en smaak te bereiken. Je krijgt de kans om zowel de grote als de kleine versies van dit heerlijke gerecht te proeven, waardoor je de verschillende texturen en smaken kunt vergelijken en contrasteren. Van de knapperige buitenkant tot de hartige vulling van garnalen, varkensvlees, taugé en kruiden, elke hap zal je smaakpapillen zeker prikkelen.
Terwijl we deze historische wijk verkennen, zult u getuige zijn van de levendige activiteiten van lokale bewoners die hun nachtelijke routines uitvoeren, en een kijkje bieden in het authentieke Saigonese leven. Dompel jezelf onder in de bruisende sfeer en maak prachtige foto's van de unieke architectuur en levendige straatbeelden die dit gebied kenmerken. Van de kleurrijke gevels tot de bruisende markten, elke hoek biedt een momentopname van het rijke culturele erfgoed van Saigon.
Na ons smaakvolle avontuur met Vietnamese pizza is het tijd om te pauzeren en onszelf op te frissen met een typisch Vietnamees drankje: vers suikerrietsap. We begeven ons naar de bruisende tweedehands- en vismarkten, waar verkopers vakkundig suikerriet persen om de zoete nectar eruit te halen. Als we op de markt aankomen, wordt u begroet door het ritmische geluid van de suikerrietpers en het zoete aroma dat de lucht vult. Neem even de tijd om op adem te komen en jezelf onder te dompelen in de levendige sfeer van deze bruisende markt. Bij de sapkraam zie je hoe de verkoper vakkundig suikerrietstengels door de pers voert en het verse sap eruit haalt dat barst van de natuurlijke zoetheid. Het resultaat is een verfrissende en revitaliserende drank die perfect is om je dorst te lessen op een warme dag. Geniet van uw versgeperste suikerrietsap en geniet van de pure, natuurlijke smaken die door uw gehemelte dansen.
We verkennen de omgeving en genieten van een van Saigon's meest intrigerende streetfoods: Vietnamese Pizza. Afkomstig uit de Central Highlands, geeft dit gerecht een creatieve draai aan het traditionele pizzaconcept en biedt een smaakervaring als geen ander. Terwijl we door de straten wandelen, heb je de mogelijkheid om een biertje te pakken en de relaxte sfeer te omarmen, en je innerlijke gangster te kanaliseren terwijl we door de levendige straten van Saigon navigeren. Onze bestemming is een verborgen juweeltje dat bekend staat om het serveren van de beste Vietnamese Pizza in de stad. Hier wordt u begroet door het verleidelijke aroma van zinderende grills en het levendige geklets van de lokale bevolking die geniet van hun favoriete straatvoedsel. Great experience!! As a solo traveller I was apprehensive about trying the street food and I had no idea where to go let alone try as it was very overwhelming. Mattie took me to some really great places from savoury to sweet and there was not one dish that didn’t enjoy. My favorite dishes were, forgive me as I don’t remember the correct names, the sticky rice and banana desert and Vietnamese pizza. Definitely I highly recommend.

This was our first night in Vietnam so we were looking to experience some local food. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable on the local herbs and cuisine and how to eat Vietnamese food. We walked to several vibrant neighborhoods navigating through lots of bustling streets and traffic so just prepare yourself for a one of a kind experience.

Daniel was amazing. His English was great. His rapport with us and each restaurant was incredible. I am certain we would not have had such an extensive experience with Vietnamese food, even if we stayed another week. He showed us many of the foods on his phone. It was close to the New Year. The streets were decorated and Daniel gave us an above the street view. He went over and above to get us across the bustling streets of HCMC. I was always a bit nervous!! He was solid and safe! A great adventure.

Daniel was an incredible guide, very knowledgable about Ho Chi Minh City and the local food. As someone who does not enjoy motorbikes this walking tour was perfect. I tried some tasty food I wouldn’t have tried otherwise and Daniel was very considerate, taking my food preferences into account. I did the tour on my first night and it was a great way to learn more about the city and the food and Daniel gave me some excellent recommendations for food and activities to try during my stay. 10/10 would recommend!
