Het schiereiland Sai Kung is werkelijk afgelegen en waarschijnlijk het kroonjuweel van het platteland van Hongkong. Ga met een ervaren gids een dag de wilde kant van Hongkong ervaren. Bergen, watervallen, witte zandstranden, unieke rotsformaties, Sai Kung heeft het allemaal. Er is ook een optie om een ritje met de speedboot te nemen rondom het ongelooflijke Geo-Park op de weg terug. (Extra kosten voor de boot, afhankelijk van het weer)

Je ontmoet je professionele gids op het treinstation van Hang Hau en begint het avontuur van vandaag naar de Sai Kung-stranden. Het wordt je perfecte dag om weg te blijven van de drukte van Hong Kong en te genieten van wat de natuur je brengt. Het uitgestrekte land- en zeegebied van het schiereiland blijft onaangetast door verstedelijking en wordt grotendeels bedekt door landparken. Het mariene ecosysteem in Hoi Ha Wan is wettelijk beschermd. Als je geluk hebt, krijg je ook de kans om inheemse vogels te spotten, zoals de Chinese bulbul en de witogige ekster. De rotsformaties zijn ook prachtig, aangezien de hele kust bijna volledig uit vulkanische materialen bestaat. Zure lava is te vinden in de omgeving van het High Island Reservoir en de zuidelijke eilanden. Met zoveel opties kan je gids dingen een beetje door elkaar halen voor Sai Kung, afhankelijk van welke ervaring je zoekt en hoe de omstandigheden zijn. Na je avontuur begeleidt je gids je terug naar het MTR-station om de trein terug naar de stad te nemen.

This was the highlight of my Hong Kong trip. I ended up doing the hike alone with the guide. He was professional and told me many interesting things about Hong Kong. It didn't get weird, even if it was just the two of us. The hike was very beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Definitley recommend! It's different to the usual tourist traps.

Great to see a different side of Hong Kong. Sean was amazing and gave us so much information along the hike and of Hong Kong in general. This is however advertised as a full day trip but it's only half a day. We also didn't get to see any waterfalls as advertised.

Just a few nice views but as a whole absolutely not worth the money. 12km up & down in the jungle. I had the impression our guide just wanted his money. Only talking about himself. We gave him a few suggestions but he didn’t care at all. Suggestions in order to better prepare his customers to this long & hard walk. I am sure there are better hikes out there !
Maybe there are better hikes out there in the world? One thing for certain, there are clearly more appreciative and understanding people out there who come on this tour and absolutely love it 100%!

My family and I did a kayaking trip to tje Ung Kong islands with Rory. It was a tough day's work. But a fantastic time with amazing views. You won't believe that you're in Hong Kong. Highly recommend all Hong Kong locals to give it a try. You'll discover a part of our city you never knew existed. Deserted sandy beaches. Unique rock formations and caves that you can explore and even go through. Keep up the good work Rory.

Today I have had the third tour with Wild Hong Kong through the beautiful Sai Kung area with Tristan which turned out as a private guided tour. He was an amazing and knowledgeable hiking tour guide which felt more like hiking with friends. The highlight of the tour was swimming at the beautiful beach during our break! Would definitely come back for other tours and highly recommend it to others. Good job!

Alex took our family of 6 on the Sai Kung Beach Adventure. Wild HK was communicative and helpful prior to our trip getting the tour organized. Alex brought us to Sai Kung and was an excellent guide. He gave us various options once we were on the trip and allowed us to craft the perfect day. Wild Hong Kong is a must for curious and intrepid travellers. Hong Kong is typically known for its city, but Wild Hong Kong challengers that stereotype. Hong Kong has to much to see and the tours I've done with Wild Hong Kong allow me to see the best places. The Sai Kung beach tour was incredible. Even just after Typhoon Mangkhut, me and Rory the tour owner went out to Tai Mo Shan waterfalls. It was a more tricky adventure but completely manageable and a unbelievable visit to the Ng Tung Chai waterfalls. Highly recommended - most travellers don't see what Wild Hong Kong shows us!
