Wow what a great team! Organised in the UK via email with Abdou before we left for the Gambia. My Husband is disabled but he can walk a bit and uses an electric wheelchair. Abdou answered all my queries and put my mind at rest. We were picked up from the hotel by Mohammed, one of his tour guides. He explained what would happen during the day. He was marvellous and helped me and my Husband all the way along. Even at the Gambia/Senegal border he got the customs staff to get in the vehicle with us to take fingerprints and check passports so my Husband didnt have to struggle getting in and out. We had a few different drivers along the way so it was nice that Mohammed stayed with us for the whole day. He sorted out tickets for the ferry and entrance to the wildlife park and all the transport so all we had to do was follow him. Cold water was included all day and a very tasty lunch which was at a cafe at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere! They were cooking on an open fire as no electric there but it was clean and friendly. Even though it was a very busy day in very busy areas i.e. ferry and border control, where not a lot of people spoke English we felt safe with him. I also didnt get too anxious as I didnt have to navigate everything with my Husband and wheelchair which would have been impossible if we had been alone. Some trips with the travel companies you are with other holidaymakers and you do not get any personal service and some are really expensive for what you get. We got service and support from start to finish with Mohammed and we didnt regret booking directly with them. It was a very reasonable price for a personal guide from approximately 6am to 5pm. Well done to the whole team.

From entering the majestic African Renaissance Monument, relaxing on a boat trip across the mangroves, and walking alongside adult lions in their natural reserve, to crossing the Gambia River by the new ferry (despite a few minor hassles), each experience was unforgettable. I also had the unique opportunity to visit the driver’s family home in Senegal, experiencing the warmth and hospitality. Overall, I highly recommend this travel service, ensuring a personalised experience.
