Begin de tour bij Nossa Senhora da Paz, een kapel op een heuvel met uitzicht op Vila Franca do Campo. Geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad, de Atlantische Oceaan en de iconische Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo, een vulkanisch eilandje vlak voor de kust.
Verken de geothermische velden van Furnas, waar vulkanische activiteit zichtbaar is door dampende fumaroles, borrelende modderpoelen en warmwaterbronnen. Proef natuurlijk koolzuurhoudend mineraalwater en ervaar de vulkanische energie van het eiland van dichtbij.
Als alternatief voor Furnas geothermische velden, bezoek Terra Nostra Park om te baden in het beroemde ijzerrijke thermale zwembad. Gasten die voor deze optie kiezen, hebben tijd om te ontspannen in de warmwaterbronnen en te genieten van de omgeving (entree niet inbegrepen).
Geniet van een prachtig uitzicht over de vulkaancaldera van Furnas vanaf Pico do Ferro, een van de beste panoramische uitzichtpunten in de omgeving, met uitzicht op het meer, het dorp en het omliggende vulkanische landschap.
Bezoek Salto do Cavalo, een dramatisch berguitkijkpunt met een indrukwekkend uitzicht over het oostelijke deel van São Miguel en, op heldere dagen, zowel de noord- als de zuidkust.
Verken het natuurpark Ribeira dos Caldeirões, bekend om zijn watervallen, weelderige vegetatie en goed onderhouden wandelpaden in een rustige natuurlijke omgeving.
Reis door de Nordeste regio en stop bij een oude walvisuitkijkpost. Vanaf hier kunt u genieten van uitzicht over de ruige kustlijn, groene weiden en kleine dorpjes die dit deel van het eiland kenmerken.
Eindig de tour bij Miradouro de Santa Iria, een van de mooiste uitzichtpunten aan de kust van São Miguel, met een prachtig uitzicht over de noordkust van het eiland en de Atlantische Oceaan.

Pick-up is beschikbaar bij de belangrijkste hotels en aangewezen ontmoetingspunten in Ponta Delgada. Als u buiten Ponta Delgada verblijft, kan er tegen een toeslag een transfer naar ons kantoor worden geregeld. Zorg dat u uiterlijk om 9.00 uur klaarstaat bij de ingang. Het ophalen kan tot 20 minuten duren.

A wonderful trip on the other side of the island if you don't have a rental vehicle. Had a tour in a comfortable AC van with Bernard, who does use a microphone so everyone can hear what he has to say. The lunch was amazing, and honestly the best food we had on the island. It had some beautiful viewpoint stops. The only thing I would have done differently was stay with Bernard at the Parque Terra Nostra stop instead of going into the park, because 1 hour is not enough for the price you pay.

This tour was a great complement to the West Tour. I highly recommend doing both, as they allow you to see many interesting and different things that complement each other very well. Once again, our guide Joao was amazing and very attentive to everyone’s needs. The small group and the very clean vehicle also made the experience even better. Amazing time!

A must see! Local company, knowledgeable friendly guide (we love you Manuel!), who love to share their love of the island with everyone. Recommend doing each of the tours as each offer a completely different experience and there is so much to see. I recently took this tour with Pure Azores and it was incredible! I had taken the west tour the day prior, and this was nothing short of amazing. The team is super professional and shows up on time - hotel pickup is so crucial especially since I didn't have a car during my time on Sao Miguel. I had Daniel as my guide and he was super informative and so funny. He made sure to keep the entire group entertained, but was also a wealth of knowledge. Our entire group decided to go to the Terra Nostra Garden for the geothermal baths and I honestly wished we had more time! The garden is BEAUTIFUL and expansive - but once you're in the thermal pools, the time to explore is a bit limited. Otherwise, the food is delicious (and a must try), and the scenery you get to see afterwards is unlike anything else I've seen.

Bring your bathing SUIT! OTHERWISE THE TOUR GUIDE WAS GREAT LUNCH WAS GREAT. I highly reccomend it, breath taking views!
