"Geurt naar La Paz geest" is een artistieke wandeltocht gecreëerd en georiënteerd voor een "Rockster" als jij! Ga op een boeiende artistieke wandeltocht waar je de levendige verborgen plekken van La Paz en de popartcultuur verkent en leert kennen, een lokaal eerbetoon aan de grootste rocksterren aller tijden en muurschilderingen ter ere van Latijns-Amerikaanse iconen. Verras je ogen met een unieke mix van inheemse kunst, koloniaal erfgoed en hedendaagse, moderne, vintage en sociaal-politieke uitingen die de huidige uitdagingen van de Boliviaanse samenleving vastleggen. Elke muurschildering, stencil en graffiti vertelt een verhaal en brengt de rijke culturele diversiteit tot leven via de stedelijke kunst die de straten siert. We beginnen de tour op Avaroa Square, waar we het belang van de figuur van Eduardo Avaroa zullen leren en hoe de Pacific War Bolivia heeft beïnvloed. We zullen ook leren waarom Sopocachi wordt beschouwd als de Boheemse wijk La Paz, ook wel bekend als het "Boliviaanse Montmartre". Nu bezoeken we de pittoreske boulevard Medinacelli, waar we straatkunst zullen observeren die verband houdt met de culturele, politieke en pop-artuitingen uit Bolivia en Latijns-Amerika.
Nu bezoeken we het uitkijkpunt van "El Monticulo", een bestemming met een romantische en Boheemse sfeer, vanwaar we zullen genieten van het uitzicht vanaf de bergen en de buurt die aan de kliffen van de stad hangt.
Nu bezoeken we het beroemde kabelbaantransportsysteem, waar we drie van de tien lijnen van dit transport zullen nemen. We zullen genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de steden La Paz en El Alto. Niettemin, het belangrijkste deel van dit circuit, zullen we de wijk Chualluma oversteken, waar we de straatkunst en muurschilderingen zullen observeren die verband houden met de culturele uitingen van de inheemse gemeenschappen van de Andesregio van Bolivia.

Nelson did a great job of explaining the background and purpose of the street paintings and murals as we walked the alleys of the central area. Cultural norms, politics, and a changing Bolivia were all discussed in an open and honest way. Highly recommended.

Kevin is a great guide, he knows a lot about the history and culture of the city and the country and of course about all the Murals. We walked for some time and then took the gondola to get to the central cemetery. The drive there alone was great. We can definitely recommend the tour with Kevin to everyone at La Paz

Really awesome tour. Kevin was a knowledgable and conscientious guide, not only showing us innumerable hidden treasures and beautiful works in La Paz, but also sharing the political history behind the art we saw. I was very appreciative of his consideration for our comfort during the walking tour as well, from finding a bathroom when needed to keeping to shaded routes out of the hot sun and even offering his own hat! I learned and saw a lot and would recommend without hesitation!

A most enjoyable, interesting and informative walk around the artistic area of La Paz. We saw the most wonderful examples of street art that would be difficult to find without a guide. The cable car ride offered impressive views of La Paz and El Alto. Kevin also showed us some hidden parts of the city, like parks and breathtaking viewpoints as well as the city cemetery. Kevin is a very knowledgeable guide and told us lots about the history and culture of La Paz and Bolivia whilst also patiently giving us plentiful time to explore each location and take pictures and answering all our questions.
