Verken Riisitunturi National Park in de winter, bekend om zijn met sneeuw bedekte bomen en weidse open landschappen die een van de meest iconische natuurtaferelen van Lapland creëren. Arctic GM wordt geëxploiteerd door The Original Aurora Hunters® en is een familiebedrijf met wortels in Lapland dat teruggaat tot de jaren 1600. Het combineert lokale kennis met een focus op kleine groepservaringen en begeleide wandelingen. Na het ophalen reist u naar het nationale park, weg van drukke toeristische gebieden. De ervaring omvat een begeleide wandeling door bospaden en schilderachtige uitzichtpunten, met tijd om van de omgeving te genieten, foto's te maken en meer te leren over de lokale natuur en winteromgeving. Het tempo is gematigd, waardoor het geschikt is voor de meeste fitnessniveaus. Overdag stopt u om te genieten van een traditionele Laplandse barbecue in een natuurlijke omgeving.

Begin uw ervaring met ophalen in Rovaniemi en transfer naar Riisitunturi National Park, gelegen op ongeveer 2-2,5 uur van de stad. Bij aankomst start u een begeleide wandeling door besneeuwde bospaden. De route gaat door gebieden die bekend staan om zwaar besneeuwde bomen, vaak lokaal aangeduid als “tykky”, evenals open uitzichtpunten met uitzicht op het omliggende Arctische landschap. De wandeling is in een gematigd en gestaag tempo, met regelmatige stops om van het landschap te genieten, foto's te maken en uit te rusten. Je Gids zal inzichten delen over het park, de winterse omstandigheden en de lokale natuur tijdens de ervaring. Halverwege het uitje stopt u bij een aangewezen vuurplaats om te genieten van een traditionele Laplandse barbecue met warme dranken. Na het voltooien van de wandeling, transfer terug naar Rovaniemi. De totale duur is ongeveer 7-8 uur.

I had an incredible experience with Arctic GM experiences OY on our trip to Riisitunturi National Park. After a fantastic Aurora hunt with this company, we saw a Facebook post about this national park and we just had to go. On Thursday 20th March, the lovely Issac took us. We were the only guests which was great for us. Issac was knowledgeable and so kind. I joked if we were stuck anywhere or attacked by a bear, Issac is the man you want to be with! He took photos and brought his own personal drone with him. Amazing piece of kit. I hope to receive the footage one day when he gets time. The photos were beautiful. We had such good fun with him foung snow angels. He looked after us at lunch time, cooked and fed us, he carried a choice of 3 different drinks! We were lucky to spot a wild reindeer on the way back too. Thank you Arctic GM and Issac for a memorable trip to a beautiful place.

We took the Arctic GM tour to Riistunturi National Park on March 17th - we can’t recommend this tour, or this company, enough. Our guide, Robin, picked us up at our accommodation on time, and was very attentive throughout the tour. The tour itself was magnificent - it was like nothing we had ever experienced - the snow on the trees was magical. The hike itself was not difficult, but the views were amazing. We had a nice barbecue lunch on the trail in a nice shelter, and then finished our hike with some delicious blueberry pie at the trailhead. We can’t recommend this tour enough!
