De jacht op het noorderlicht in Lapland is een onvergetelijke ervaring — en met Arctic GM wordt het benaderd als een gestructureerde Aurora-jacht die wordt geleid door realtime omstandigheden. Arctic GM wordt geëxploiteerd door The Original Aurora Hunters® en is een familiebedrijf met wortels in Lapland dat teruggaat tot de jaren 1600. Het bedrijf brengt generaties lokale kennis in elke tour. De avond begint op een centraal ontmoetingspunt in Rovaniemi. Reis per comfortabele touringcar als gidsen de route continu aanpassen op basis van het weer en de voorspellingen van Aurora, met de mogelijkheid om tot 2 uur van de stad te rijden, ook richting de Zweedse grens als de omstandigheden dat vereisen. Stops worden gemaakt op zorgvuldig geselecteerde locaties uit de buurt van lichtvervuiling. Wanneer de lucht opklaart, stap je in het Arctische landschap terwijl gidsen helpen met foto's onder het noorderlicht. Thermische overalls, warme dranken en lichte snacks zijn inbegrepen. De ervaring duurt ongeveer 4-6 uur.

Begin uw avond op een centraal ontmoetingspunt in Rovaniemi, waar u uw Gids ontmoet voordat u vertrekt met een comfortabele touringcar. De tour is ontworpen als een Northern Lights jacht, met de route continu aangepast op basis van real-time weer en Aurora voorspellingen. Reizen kan tot 2 uur duren vanaf de stad, inclusief richting de Zweedse grens als de omstandigheden dat vereisen. Onderweg deelt je Gids inzichten in het noorderlicht, de Arctische natuur en de lokale cultuur terwijl je op zoek gaat naar de helderste lucht. Wanneer de omstandigheden gunstig zijn, kunt u het poollandschap instappen om het noorderlicht te observeren en foto's te maken, met begeleiding van uw Leider. Thermische overalls zijn voorzien voor comfort in koude omstandigheden. Tijdens de avond kunt u ook genieten van warme dranken en lichte snacks. Na de ervaring keert u per bus terug naar Rovaniemi. De totale duur is ongeveer 4-6 uur.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Arctic GM Northern Lights Chase on 12th Feb 2026. Just when we had almost given up hope of seeing the aurora, our guide Pamela’s dedication and passion made all the difference ... We crossed borders to Sweden from Finland and at around 2 am, we were finally rewarded with the most breathtaking display. We were even lucky enough to witness the elusive pink hues, which made the moment feel truly magical. She was there every step of the way, capturing beautiful photos and ensuring the experience was unforgettable. Thank you, Arctic GM, for such a special and memorable adventure!
Matteo is one of the most passionate guides I’ve ever met. He even drove all the way to the far northeast of Finland just to give us the best chance to see the Northern Lights. I thoroughly researched in advance which operator to book with and chose Arctic Circle due to the good reviews. We were picked up on time and only had to drive for about two hours until we were able to see the most magical experience, namely the Northern Lights. The organization was perfect, and I can only recommend Arctic Circle to everyone. Great praise also to a home that patiently took many photos of us. It may be a little more expensive than with other providers, but you really do see the Northern Lights, and I must say that the experience was worth every cent. Thank you very much for fulfilling my dream!

The tour was extraordinary. The efforts the guide and the team put in to get us guaranteed viewing of the northern lights was truly remarkable. The guide Carmen was really enthusiastic and drove us for more than 2 hours north of Rovaniemi. It was one of the most memorable events of our life. Definitely recommended.
Severe snow forecast during our stay that the tour was cancelled twice. On the third & last night, it was a go but only to be told we had a 15% chance to see the aurora. We drove 300kms to Sweden to find a sliver of clear sky and we found her! Kudos to this tour operator for trying their very best to make our dreams come true!
It was amazing. They spent all the time necessary to see the auroras in all their glory, stopping several times. They spent a lot of time, valuation of 10. Absolutely recommended.
The experience was spectacular! The guide explained the phenomenon to us in detail and guided us to Sweden so we could see the aurora boreal! It was an explosion of wonderful forms! The car was a comfortable van with heating, considering the cold it made on the day (-28c). We left at the scheduled time and returned after enough observation period! I highly recommend the walk!
