Spring op de Waterbus met een ticket en een digitale Gids van Rotterdam, en Kinderdijk. Deze zijn beschikbaar in de WeGoTrip app.Je krijgt de instructies hoe je het ticket kunt ophalen en de optionele digitale Gids via je e-mail, sms en WhatsApp. De digitale Gids bevat kaarten, foto's, scripts en audiocommentaar. De waterbus vertrekt elk uur tussen 9:15 en 17:15 uur. Let op: het is beter om vroeg in de ochtend te beginnen om alle locaties te bezoeken! De terugreis vertrekt elk uur tussen 9:45 en 17:45 uur.Verken Rotterdam: haven, kubuswoningen, St. Laurenskerk en stadhuis. Bewonder molens van Kinderdijk en ontdek de Nederlandse waterbeheergeschiedenis.

In de haven van Rotterdam ziet u een van de grootste en drukste havens ter wereld – een uitgestrekt landschap van containerterminals, vrachtschepen, olieraffinaderijen en windturbines die zich uitstrekken langs de Maas en de Noordzee. U kunt massale kranen schepen zien laden en lossen, innovatieve logistieke hubs en moderne haventechnologie in actie.
Bij de Kubuswoningen ziet u een opvallende set gekantelde, kubusvormige woningen ontworpen door architect Piet Blom. Elke kubus is 45 graden gedraaid en rust op een zeshoekige pilaar, waardoor een fascinerend bos van geometrische vormen ontstaat. Als je ertussen loopt, waan je je in een kunstwerk van moderne kunst. U kunt het Show Cube Museum bezoeken om te zien hoe mensen eigenlijk in deze ongewone huizen wonen en genieten van een geweldig uitzicht over de stad vanaf de verhoogde voetgangersgebieden om hen heen.
Op KinDErdijk Molenkade – Ridderkerk De Schans ziet u een prachtige rij historische Nederlandse windmolens langs de waterwegen staan, onderdeel van een UNESCO Werelderfgoed. Je ervaart het klassieke Nederlandse landschap van grachten, groene velden en dijken, met 19 traditionele windmolens die ooit het waterpeil in de polders beheerden. Terwijl u over de paden wandelt of fietst, kunt u werkende windmolens bezoeken, leren hoe ze werken en genieten van een rustig uitzicht op het platteland en de reflectie van de molens in het water, vooral prachtig bij zonsopgang of zonsondergang.

I wanted to let you know that this tour is much longer than 2 to 3 hours. To do it properly. It needs 4 to 6 hours due to water bus transport is uncertain times and you could miss the bus and delay the whole tour. I was not able to finish the tour based on that. Also need to put in the information that you need to start early by 9 o’clock so you can get everything done. Also, the GPS was off. There is a lot of construction going on in Rotterdam so that following the guided tour was a problem because you had to figure out alternate paths to get to the next location. The extended the trip by at least an hour. I was not able to go to the last city on the tour due to timing. I like the information it provided for the historical significance. I just wish the option to start and complete. The water bus options were first. You can always do the tour for the city last.
The jetty where you get the boat is quit disorganised. We also booked a trip that went to both Kinderdiijt & Dordrecht. However after visiting the windmills we were told we had to go back to Rotterdam and get a different boat to Dordrecht which didnt work for us as we had something else booked. It seemed a little ineffecient as well as the route to Dordrecht looked similar and it looked easier to just continue from Kinderdiijt. So if you book this trip leave plenty of time.
There needs to be clearer information on how the tour works. The running time is inaccurate. It did not include water bus movement. Other than the above, I did see places i would not have found without the guide. The audio history was really good. Maps are excellent. And I would say its good value for money. As its a self guided tour I would suggest you take the day to enjoy this. I enjoyed walking around the 3 areas, and if your ticket only has 2 stops noted. Don't worry the water bus will accept for the 3rd area to visit. Go explore! Lots of photo ops!
Great day and interesting lace to visit. Waterbus did not really run on posted schedule. Interesting to see city from water perspective.
