Ga mee op een onvergetelijke dagtocht met een kleine groep vanuit Auckland om de culturele en geothermische wonderen van Rotorua te verkennen. De Bombay Hills zijn een reeks heuvels ten zuiden van Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland. Hoewel ze slechts een kleine en ogenschijnlijk onbeduidende reeks heuvels zijn, liggen ze aan de zuidelijke grens van de regio Auckland en dienen ze als een scheiding tussen Auckland en de Waikato-regio. direct vernoemd naar het schip Bombay, Het schip zelf is vernoemd naar de Indiase stad Bombay (nu Mumbai). We stoppen om op eigen kosten heerlijke koffie te halen en een comfortabele pauze voordat we onze reis naar de Waikato-regio voortzetten.
We passeren ook de unieke stad Tirau (de hoofdstad van golfplaten sculpturen van de wereld), bekend om zijn antiekwinkels en diervormige golfplaten gebouwen.
Wees getuige van de felle krijgers die de oorlogskano door de rustige wateren van de Wai-o-Whiro-stroom navigeren en dompel jezelf onder in rijke culturele optredens zoals Wero, Pōwhiri (traditioneel Māori-welkom), Waiata (lied), Mōteatea (traditioneel gezang), Poi, Haka en nog veel meer. De verbazingwekkende culturele voorstelling leert je over de oude kunsten van het snijden en ta moka (tatoeagekunst), terwijl de wapen- en gevechtsvertoningen je laten begrijpen waarom de Māori als zulke angstaanjagende krijgers worden beschouwd. Je zult versteld staan van het niveau van emotie dat zo'n eenvoudig gezicht zal veroorzaken - het is echt verbazingwekkend en huiveringwekkend! Buffet, het heerlijke, overheerlijke traditionele hangi-eten met onderscheidende smaken en unieke bereiding van het Māori-volk, gekookt in een aarden oven, een gat 1-2 m in de grond, de manden met kai (eten) worden op hete stenen op de bodem van een hāngī-put geplaatst. Ervaar een heilige en spirituele plek die u een authentieke, unieke inheemse culturele ervaring biedt.
Onze tweede bestemming is Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, een van de meest kleurrijke en diverse geothermische gebieden van Nieuw-Zeeland. Duizenden jaren in de maak en "Een van de 20 meest surrealistische plekken ter wereld". Dit prachtige landschap ligt in een natuurlijke bushomgeving waar zelfgeleide wandelingen 45 tot 90 minuten duren. Een wandeling door deze surrealistische, maanachtige omgeving biedt de kans om getuige te zijn van enkele van de vulkanische wonderen en een breed scala aan geweldige fotomomenten bij unieke kenmerken, waaronder de wereldberoemde Champagne Pool, natuurlijk gekleurde warme en koude bronnen, duivelsbad, borrelende modder, stomende grond, uitgestrekte vergezichten, enorme vulkaankraters en sinterterrasformaties. Met een kleurrijke ervaring nemen we onze herinneringen mee terug naar Auckland.
Na een opwindende leuke ervaring in Rotorua, is het nu tijd om terug te gaan naar Auckland om je avond af te sluiten en af te leveren bij je hotel in Auckland. We kunnen u ook afzetten bij uw accommodatie in Rotorua als u lokaal in de regio verblijft.

- Tours zijn geschikt voor mensen van alle leeftijden en gemiddelde conditie. Onze mooie wandelingen zijn kort en optioneel. Laat het onze gids weten bij het inchecken als u vragen heeft over uw conditie.
- Rondleidingen vinden plaats onder alle weersomstandigheden; kleed u daarom gepast.
- Draag comfortabele kleding die geschikt is voor de omstandigheden, bescherming tegen de zon, een jas/warme laag en eventuele essentiële persoonlijke spullen.
- U moet in staat zijn om trappen te beklimmen en af te dalen en op onverhard of oneffen terrein te lopen.
- Geschikt voor mensen van alle leeftijden. Gemakkelijk en goede conditie vereist.
- Neem een camera of een telefoon met camerafunctie mee, want dit is de perfecte plek om geweldige foto's te maken van uw belevenissen.
- Omdat het een actief geothermisch gebied is met oneffen terrein, wordt stevig schoeisel aanbevolen. Jandals, sandalen, slippers of schoenen met hoge hakken zijn niet geschikt.
- Sommige dieetwensen kunnen worden ingewilligd. Gezien de aard van Maori Kai (voedsel) kunnen we echter niet aan alle dieetwensen voldoen, zoals veganistische opties.

This is our first time engaging ExperienceKart for a guided tour to Mitai Village and Waiotapu Thermal and we had nothing but a blast! We were greeted by our super friendly tour guide, Mr Karthik at the meeting point and he put us all at ease from the get go. He was such a gem, providing us with nuggets of information all through our drive from Auckland hotel to Rotorua and his enthusiasm kept us all engaged on the tour. The tour van was super comfortable and came with foldable tables for us to eat our snacks and breakfast in the van. We highly recommend Mr Karthik and his company for anyone interested in this tour and we will definitely come back for more!

The Māori experience was educational, fun and interactive. I’m a First Nation Ojibwe woman from Ontario Canada and there are similarities in our cultures and beliefs. The feast of traditional Māori food was delicious. The interesting features like the champagne pool, craters and blowholes and rock formations in the geothermal area was something I’d never experienced. Karthik has a wealth of knowledge that he gladly shares with the group. Karthik’s driving skills focused on safety for us all.

EVERYTHING about this tour was 10/10. I was very moved with the Mitai Maori Village demonstrations/performances and the lunch was better than i expected! I was hesitant to sign up for the Wai-o-tupa geothermal tour but my husband and I are SO GLAD we did it! We didn’t have much time at the Agrodome sheep farm but it was still very interesting. Our guide, Karthik, was very professional & friendly! His vehicle was clean & comfortable for the long ride (equipped with wifi) and he shared a wealth of knowledge about NZ. He takes great photos too!

Our trip to the Mitai Māori Village and Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland was perfect. Highly recommend you request Karthik as your tour guide. He provided excellent information during the trip that made the 3 ride both enjoyable and educational. The Māori performance was quite entertaining as the performers and hosts gave an authentic show. And, the FOOD! Served buffet style, was quite plentiful and tasty. The trip to the Waitipi geothermal park was very fascinating. I just wish the photos could provide the true “aromas” we experienced! LOL. Even though the ride out and back was three hours each way, it was well worth it! Overall, I highly recommend this tour and Karthik as your guide.
