Deze ongewone 2,5 uur durende cruise nodigt u uit om de verborgen kant van Parijs te ontdekken terwijl u langs het rustige water van het Canal Saint-Martin glijdt, omzoomd met eeuwenoude bomen en elegante loopbruggen. Onderweg hoort u de geschiedenis van deze authentieke Parijse wijken. U passeert het mysterieuze en spectaculaire Bastillegewelf, waar het veranderende licht voor een unieke sfeer zorgt. De rondvaart voert u ook door vier dubbele sluizen met kolkende wateren en twee draaibruggen, die een fascinerend kijkje bieden in de techniek en charme van het kanaal. U zult genieten van uitzicht op de levendige grachtenoevers, met hun mooie boetiekjes en cafés in retrostijl. De route loopt ook door het Bassin de la Villette en in de buurt van het Parc de la Villette, de thuisbasis van de Cité des Sciences, La Géode, de Philharmonie de Paris en thematuinen. Betreed de lange ondergrondse tunnel van het Canal Saint-Martin, een gewelfde passage onder de stad. Naarmate het daglicht vervaagt en weer verschijnt door openingen erboven, wordt de sfeer uniek kalm en meeslepend. Kom uit de tunnel bij Place de la Bastille, waar het contrast tussen het ondergrondse kanaal en het levendige historische plein een van de meest opvallende momenten van de cruise creëert.
Navigeer door de Écluse du Temple, een andere sleutelsluis op het Canal Saint-Martin, waar het langzame ritme van het water het rustige karakter van de cruise versterkt.
Betreed het hart van het Canal Saint-Martin, beroemd om zijn met bomen omzoomde oevers, elegante ijzeren loopbruggen en tijdloze Parijse charme. Dit is een van de meest pittoreske waterwegen van de stad, geliefd bij zowel de lokale bevolking als filmmakers.
Kom langs de Écluses des Morts, een reeks sluizen waarvan de naam herinnert aan het lange en soms dramatische verleden van het kanaal, wat een vleugje mysterie toevoegt aan de reis.
Glijd door het rustige Bassin Louis Blanc, waar het kanaal naadloos overgaat in de omliggende wijk, waardoor een rustige en intieme sfeer ontstaat, weg van de drukte van de stad.
Ervaar uw eerste sluis als de boot door de Écluse de la Villette vaart. Kijk hoe het waterpeil zachtjes stijgt of daalt als de sluisdeuren openen en sluiten, en geef een boeiende blik in de techniek van het kanaal.
Cruise langs het Canal de l’Ourcq, oorspronkelijk gebouwd om Parijs van vers water te voorzien. Bekleed met voormalige pakhuizen en moderne woongebouwen, onthult dit stuk een rustigere, meer authentieke kant van de hoofdstad.
Vaar onder de iconische hefbrug van de rue de Crimée door, een van de laatste operationele hefbruggen in Parijs. De brug boven de boot zien uitsteken is een zeldzaam en fascinerend moment dat het levend industrieel erfgoed van de stad benadrukt.
De boot bereikt het Bassin de la Villette, een van de grootste open waterbekkens van Parijs. Deze levendige maar ontspannen wijk markeert de toegangspoort tot het historische grachtennetwerk van de stad, waar het stadsleven langzaam plaatsmaakt voor kalme waterwegen en een meer lokale Parijse sfeer.

Beautiful walk. Many locks requiring long wait times, giving the impression of not sailing much.

Totally bad. Worst ever! The taxi was late and therefore missed the boat! Okay -our responsibility. No refund and no alternative and no exceptions. This is despite our own responsibility theft - what a bad treatment- bah

Very interesting when going through the tunnel and the first few locks. After the 3rd lock(there were 9) it got a little boring. The commentary was helpful but the sound was often garbled. Maybe if we had sat inside it would have been better. We sat outside in the front and we got showered with water as we went through each lock and couldn’t hear the commentary at all at those times. We were glad we experienced this because it is a little hidden gem. We saw lots of families watching the lock process or crossing the bridges, waving and explaining to their children about the canal and the boat. We don’t need to do it again, but we were glad we did it this one time.

At first, we sat outside and could not hear the english commentary. Sound system was not very loud and not very good. Outside seating cramped and uncomfortable. We moved inside later and could hear her but commentary not interesting and she started everything in English with the phrase “just so you know”. A lot of locks but not much else to see. Overall unimpressed.

The trip was very good apart from they had no knowledge that we had booked a breakfast with coffee and a crossiant. When we booked this trip we actually wanted to go later in the day but the only trip was the breakfast trip with breakfast mandatory. We sacrificed an inclusive breakfast at our hotel so that we could have breakfast on the boat. So I would like some sort of compensation. This was on top of the cancellation of our tour of Notre Darm with only 20 minutes notice all though you have refunded the money it was pretty poor service. We will be sharing this on tripadvisor as Viator do not seem to be the company they were!!!

This was a very disappointing tour.The commentary was inarticulate and whilst I acknowledge the guides first language is not English at least get someone who can articulate clearly. Because of alleged engine problems the cruise was terminated with 1/2 an hour to go. We were abruptly dumped in an inconvenient area of Paris and left to our own devices instead of the more convenient intended docking station. On. Today’s performance I suggest avoiding this cruise company.
