Het natuurwonder Devils Bridge en de gerestaureerde historische Nelsons Dockyard zijn twee van de vele interessante bezienswaardigheden tijdens deze tour. Rijden door de dorpen aan de zuidkant van het eiland waar de Antigua Black Pineapple (de zoetste ter wereld) leeft, is een bonus tijdens een tour.

Het uitzicht vanaf Shirley Heights, hoog boven English Harbour, is gewoon geweldig. Het biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de jachten die in de haven beneden liggen. Vernoemd naar gouverneur Thomas Shirley die de haven in 1781 versterkte. Op een heldere dag zijn de naburige eilanden vanaf dit uitkijkpunt te zien.
Nelsons Dockyard, vernoemd naar admiraal Horatio Nelson, een Britse marineofficier die tussen 1784 en 1787 in deze Royal Navy Dockyard woonde. De 18e/19e-eeuwse gebouwen van de Dockyard zijn volledig gerestaureerd in hun oorspronkelijke pracht en herbergen alle moderne voorzieningen. Opgeleide gidsen bij de hand om u te informeren over de geschiedenis van de scheepswerf
Een natuurlijk fenomeen dat is ontstaan door duizenden jaren van erosie toen de Atlantische golven tegen de rotsen sloegen en zo Devils Bridge vormden. Deze brug is gevuld met geisers en blowholes. Er wordt gezegd dat veel tot slaaf gemaakte Afrikanen zelfmoord pleegden in hun laatste poging om aan de verschrikkingen van de slavernij te ontsnappen. Een must see tijdens een bezoek aan Antigua.

We halen op bij ALLE hotels. Gasten worden opgewacht in de lobby van hun hotel. De duur van de tour is 3 en een half uur; gasten hebben echter de mogelijkheid om een kortere rondleiding aan te vragen.

I am at an all inclusive resort but also wanted an overview of Island. This tour was as advertised and fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised to be only person on the tour. Driver/guide was pleasant and informative. Tour did include pick up and return to Jolly Beach Resort, where I was staying.

This was the perfect way to see some of the highlights of the Antigua! The tour included every stop I wanted to see, and Benjamin was the perfect guide. He answered every last question I had about Antiguan landmarks, history, and culture. He even stopped so we could try a local tamarind fruit straight off a tree! Overall, it was a great half-day tour, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get off their resort for a bit and see more of the island.

Excellent private tour of the island. Driver Cyril was very knowledgeable and friendly. Old English Harbour and Shirley heights are the stunning highlights. Gave my wife and I a good understanding of the island of Antigua, would recommend.

I couldn't recommend this tour enough, it is definitely worth going on and Lionel is definitely the best tour guide ever. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and very polite. He is also very passionate about his work and sharing his amazing knowledge as well. If you really want to experience Antigua properly, this tour is definitely a must. I enjoyed learning about the history of Antigua from Lionel. He also has a great sense of humor, which made the tour fun as well as very informative. Lionel goes above and beyond and shows you the hidden gems of Antigua as well. This tour is definitely well worth it.

Awesome Island, relaxing ride with great commentary. A very nice lunch was included. Devil’s Bridge was a big geyser shooting up 25 feet. A few venders with lovely merchandise and no pressure buying
