De rondleiding duurt vier uur. De prachtige Villa dei Misteri, met het beroemde Dionysische fresco, is opgenomen in de reisroute. De route wordt gepresenteerd door middel van een historiografische en culturele interpretatie. U kunt de Domus Pompeiana bewonderen, het grote staatshuis, dat bekend staat om de rijkdom aan fresco's en prachtige mozaïeken. De Dionysische en Isiac-mysterieculten. Het dagelijkse leven van de oude Hellenistische stad, de "meest levende onder de dode steden". Pompeii vertegenwoordigt zeker een cultureel complex dat de samenhang van de hele Middellandse Zee beïnvloedt, toen de ‘Mare Nostro’ een zee was die verenigde en niet verdeelde. Pompeii is geen Griekse stad, en zelfs niet een Romeinse, maar een Hellenistische stad. Dat wil zeggen een groot commercieel en industrieel centrum dat betrekkingen had met Klein-Azië, met India en met Perzië, de hele wereld bewaart Pompeii, dit komt omdat de uitbarsting werd ervaren als een goddelijke straf met de nieuwste geschriften "SODOM EN GOMORRA".

Spa's in de voorsteden: het prachtige frigidarium, met een nymphaeum in glaspasta, van polychrome en geglazuurde tegels, en het zwembad met fresco's van Nilotische onderwerpen.
De plaats van de keizerlijke cultus en godin van de zeelieden. De tempel van Venus beslaat een terras dat het hele omringende landschap domineert. Een indrukwekkend bronzen beeld van Daedalus van de grote Poolse kunstenaar Igor Mitoraj.
Het grote Tribunaal van Pompeii. De Basiliek van Pompeii heeft drie beuken en anticipeert op de typologie van de christelijke basiliek. Het is het grootste openbare gebouw in Pompeii. Een monument van buitengewone architectonische grandeur.
Ethische en profetische aanbidding. De Tempel van Apollo is een prachtig gebouw naar Grieks ontwerp. De architecturale en plastische configuratie is verbazingwekkend. De twee bronzen beelden die Apollo en Diana voorstellen domineren.
Commercieel, administratief en religieus centrum van de stad. Het Forum van Pompeii is een stedelijk complex van majestueuze grandeur. Het wordt gedomineerd door de grandioze Tempel van Jupiter, Juno en Minerva.
Wellnesscentrum en spa van de oude stad Pompeii. In dit perfect bewaard gebleven thermisch complex springt het tepidarium eruit, met zijn prachtige stucwerk in de stijl van Neroni, en het grandioze albasten labrum in het calidarium, van Egyptische oorsprong.
Het grootste van heel Pompeii, een paleishuis uit het Hellenistische tijdperk. In dit huis kun je een uitstekende kopie bewonderen van een van de beroemdste mozaïeken uit de Romeinse wereld, de Slag bij Issus in 333 voor Christus, tussen Alexander de Grote en Darius III van Perzië.
Prachtige fresco's in de vierde Pompeiaanse stijl. In dit huis kunt u de beroemde Priapus bewonderen, van de Neroniaanse school. De majestueuze hal is prachtig, met een rijke productie van Cupido's die bedoeld zijn voor werkactiviteiten. De grootste picturale cyclus van de Neroniaanse school in heel Pompeii. De mythologische schilderijen zijn grandioos, waaronder Daedalus en de Minotaurus.
Perfect bewaard gebleven Pompeiaanse domus met zijn Rhodiaanse zuilengalerij. In deze Domus zijn de obsidiaanspiegels prachtig. Van opmerkelijk belang en schoonheid zijn het heiligdom, gewijd aan de cultus van Isis, en het Lararium, de beschermgoden van het Huis. De fresco's gewijd aan de Trojaanse oorlog zijn prachtig.
Beroemd Dionysisch fresco uit de eerste eeuw voor Christus, uniek in de wereld vanwege de staat van instandhouding.

An exciting morning at the Archaeological Park of Pompeii - which I had already visited, but a geological era ago - thanks to the guide Salvatore. His explanations were clear, interesting, but what I appreciated most was his polite, kind, and genuinely professional manner. Compliments also to the travel agency for the excellent service offered. Consider that, although it is strongly recommended to purchase the entrance ticket to the archaeological site online through Vivaticket - a method by which I was unable to purchase it - the agency staff quickly took care of solving the problem. They are all fast and efficient on an organizational level, as far as I could see. 5 stars for the service, however, I strongly advise against visiting the site in a time slot that is truly "demanding" due to the intense heat of this period (July 2026), as I did, so plan your visit for a more lenient time/season.
