1.De Stanly-brug je houdt van het uitzicht en de frisse lucht, perfecte plek voor foto's. Ik raad aan om te wandelen en het prachtige landschap op de brug te zien.
2. Kom al-Shoqafa (catacomben) Een oude cirkelvormige trap leidt naar beneden naar deze graven die tijdens het tijdperk van de Antonijnse keizers (2e eeuw na Christus) in het gesteente werden gegraven.
3. Fort Qait Bey Deze citadel lijkt op een imposant kasteelfort en werd in de jaren 1480 gebouwd door sultan Qaitbey op de plaats van de vuurtoren van Pharos, om de stad te beschermen tegen de kruisvaarders die de stad over zee aanvielen.
4. Bibliotheca Alexandrina Gelegen nabij de plaats van de oude bibliotheek van Alexandrië, is deze moderne versie een cilindrisch gebouw van elf verdiepingen met meer dan acht miljoen boeken. Dit prachtig ontworpen culturele centrum, een nieuwe voorstelling van de oude Grote Bibliotheek van Alexandrië, bevat een groot aantal musea en een van de meest ambitieuze bibliotheken van de moderne wereld. De architectuur - een gigantische zonneschijf - domineert de Corniche aan het water, terwijl binnenin een enorme leeszaal acht miljoen boekdelen kan bevatten. Onder de hoofdbibliotheek kunnen bezoekers een reeks prachtig samengestelde tentoonstellingen verkennen. Het Handschriftenmuseum met zijn prachtige collectie oude teksten en rollen en de oudheden
5. De oudste kerk Saint Mark's bevindt zich in een zeer interessant deel van Alexandrië. Het is interessant en ik heb genoten van de geschiedenis van de plaats. Ik zou dit op de Must See-lijst opnemen.
6- de oudste moskee Absoluut magnifiek,, .. er zijn hier 3 moskeeën om van te genieten,, de middelste was open,, het is zelfs zo prachtig van binnen als van buiten,,.. Een must om te bezoeken voor de meeste toeristen,,..

Het duurt ongeveer 5 minuten lopen ♀️ en ik wacht op u voor die poort Direct bedankt

Must memorable. Alexandria is rich in history with strong Greek influence. Catacomb and the great library were outstanding. Also the citadel

This private 1/2 day trip of Alexandria with Feby was excellent. Feby was passionate about showing us around her city of birth. She was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history through the centuries, telling a story that brought it all to life. Our trip included a visit to the Catacombs and the Citadel with drive by of the amphitheater and other ancient sites. We toured the old town, which you don’t get to see on a large bus tour as the roads are too narrow and crowded. We would definitely recommend Feby and her courteous driver and will definitely book again with her when we visit Cairo as Feby also does small private tours of Cairo.

We took the Half—Day Guided Tour in Alexandria with the outstanding and knowledgeable guide Feby! We were with one other couple from our cruise as Feby showed us her favorite sights in the city: St. Catherine’s Cathedral, Catacombs of Kom el Shogafa, The Citadel of Qaitbay among other interesting places and neighborhoods. Her passion about her job and the city are obvious throughout the tour. She contacted us right after our booking to welcome us and made us feel like we were special guests, making sure the choices on the tour accommodated us. The car was comfortable and the driver experienced, appreciated in the city traffic. Feby provided us with water, snacks and gifts! Overall, it was an amazing day in a complex and ancient city, made even special by the best tour guide we have ever had.
Feby was born and raised in Alexandria and highly educated in the history of Egypt. She was so friendly and took us to so many cool places and answered every question we threw at her! Such an enjoyable day! She made our tour the best!
