Verken Hong Kong te voet met een 4 uur durende begeleide wandeling door de beste tempels en markten. Een gedetailleerd overzicht van Hong Kong, deze tour zal je helpen om het meeste te halen uit een beperkte hoeveelheid tijd in Hong Kong. Bezoek de Nan Lian-tuinen, Chi Lin Nunnery, de Wong Tai Sin-tempel, de populaire Ladies Market en meer. Rondleiding met kleine groepen is beperkt tot een maximum van 8 personen.

Maak je klaar voor een dag vol avontuur terwijl we je meenemen op een reis door enkele van de meest iconische en cultureel belangrijke bezienswaardigheden in Hong Kong. Onze eerste stop is de adembenemende Nan Lian-tuinen, een oase van 3,5 hectare met een prachtige landschapstuin uit de Tang-dynastie. Terwijl je langs de rondweg wandelt, zul je betoverd worden door de ingewikkelde details van elke steen, boom, rots en waterelement die zijn aangelegd volgens specifieke regels en voorschriften.
Vervolgens bezoeken we het serene Chi Lin nonnenklooster, waar boeddhistische nonnen mediteren en verlichting zoeken. Deze uitgestrekte tempel beslaat 33.000 vierkante meter en beschikt over een verscheidenheid aan zalen, lotusvijvers en een pagode van vijf verdiepingen met duizend boeddha's. Je krijgt de kans om het prachtige standbeeld van Sakyamuni Boeddha, Guanyin en andere Boeddha's te bewonderen terwijl je geniet van de vredige sfeer van deze heilige plek. Daarna nemen we MTR naar de Wong Tai Sin-tempel.
Onze volgende stop is de beroemde Wong Tai Sin-tempel, een taoïstische tempel die elk jaar tienduizenden gelovigen trekt. Deze tempel is niet alleen populair bij de lokale bevolking, maar ook bij Chinezen van over de hele wereld. Je krijgt de kans om een wens te doen en je fortuin te laten voorspellen door een bamboe cilinder met daarin bamboe geluksstokjes te schudden. Je kunt dan je waarzegster inwisselen voor een papiertje met een nummer en een van de vele waarzeggers naast de tempel vinden die de waarzeggerij voor je zal interpreteren. Daarna nemen we de MTR naar het gebied van Mongkok.
Daarna maken we een wandeling door de bruisende Sneaker Street, waar je een uitgebreide selectie sneakers vindt van alle grote merken. Aarzel niet te lang als je iets vindt dat je leuk vindt, want deze sneakers hebben een snelle omloop en kunnen later uitverkocht zijn!
Ten slotte bezoeken we de beroemde Ladies Market, de populairste openluchtmarkt in Kowloon. U krijgt de kans om te bladeren en te winkelen voor een breed scala aan producten en souvenirs, van T-shirts en horloges tot handtassen en iPod/iPhone-covers. Rex was a great tour leader. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. We visited temples and markets - covering more ground than we could have on our own in that time and heard from a local which gave us a great perspective. All up about 6 kms walking and Rex even saw us back to our hotel - a very good day. Thank you Rex!!

My daughter Ella and I spent our tour day with Lyonors on the Hong Kong tour. Lyonors was an amazing tour guide, very calm and caring and friendly and kind. I definitely recommend this tour. I can say the garden and the two monasteries are incredibly beautiful.
