Stockport is een geweldige eetbestemming die wacht om ontdekt te worden. Het is de thuisbasis van een van de meest opwindende, jonge en opkomende eetbuurten van het land. Tijdens de tour bezochten we 6 lokale bedrijven. en geniet van een gerecht waar iedereen beroemd om is. We ontmoeten de verkopers, horen hun verhalen en leren hoe Stockport transformeert van een slaperig satellietstadje naar een van de meest besproken gebieden in het noorden. Vol geweldige straatkunst en vreemde en prachtige geschiedenis, de Stockport food tour is een geweldige manier om een nieuwe stad te verkennen en kennis te maken met bekroonde smaken en smaken.

Deze straat is niet zomaar een brug, maar bevat enkele echte verborgen pareltjes van de eet- en drinkscene van Stockport. We komen langs bij lokaal gerunde bedrijven om hallo te zeggen en een aantal fantastische smaken en hapjes langs onze route te proberen.
Wat ooit een oude productiehal was, is nu een van de beste voedselmarkten van het noordwesten. We genieten van een gereserveerde zitplaats terwijl we ons tegoed doen aan gerechten van een paar lokale verkopers. Het is een fascinerend gebouw dat veel van zijn ouderwetse charmes heeft behouden en een centraal punt voor de lokale gemeenschap is geworden.
We doorkruisen de geplaveide straten van de oude stad en bezoeken lokaal gerunde, onafhankelijke eet- en drinkverkopers. Onder leiding van onze gids genieten we van een ontspannen wandeling door het stadscentrum. We stoppen bij enkele van onze favoriete eet- en drinkgelegenheden.

Wow! A completely unexpected revelation about the quality and diversity of the food available in Stockport now! Absolutely fantastic. And our tour guide, Julia, was exceptional! So knowlegeable and so passionate about her job - and the revival of Stockport. I would really highly recommend this tour to anybody. Definitely do not eat anything ahead of it as there is plenty of food to sample but some of it you can take away if you are full. I will be very keen to try the tour in Manchester now.

Absolutely wonderful 3 hours with James. He told us so many interesting facts about the history of Stockport and took us to 5 very different local produce eating places.

A brilliant way to spend three hours, I’ve lived in Stockport for 11 years and we were introduced to places I had no idea were here, food I’d never eaten before, and we got a behind the scenes peek at a Stockport institution. James is so knowledgeable and we just had a great time. Stockport has a growing reputation as a food destination so it’s great to have a way in for exploring some of the hidden gems Stockport has to offer. Now planning to do one of the Manchester tours next year!

The tour guide is so well versed on the area. Most interesting history and quaint shops. The clock at Winters is a real find! If concerned, less walking than the Manchester tour.
