Volg deze interessante tour in de voormalige KGB gevangenis met professionele Engels- en Noorssprekende gids. Tijdens de rondleiding kunt u een bezoek brengen aan: de voormalige KGB-gevangenis, executiekamer, moderne tentoonstellingen over verzetsbeweging en deportaties en meer. Rondleiding duurt ongeveer 1 uur, maar u kunt na de rondleiding in het museum blijven om de foto's en tentoonstelling over deportaties, KGB, verzetsbeweging in Litouwen te bekijken. Toegangskaart voor het museum is niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs (6EUR per persoon).

Het museum was gevestigd in het voormalige KGB-gebouw, waar vijftig jaar lang de misdaden van het Sovjetregime werden gepland en uitgevoerd. Bezoekers kunnen terecht op: de voormalige KGB-gevangenis, het pand waar doodvonnissen werden uitgevoerd, moderne tentoonstellingen die vertellen over het verlies van onafhankelijkheid in het midden van de 20e eeuw, repressie door de Sovjetautoriteiten en de zelfopofferende en aanhoudende strijd voor onafhankelijkheid. We lopen door de voormalige gevangenis waar politieke gevangenen werden vastgehouden en gemarteld. Je zult zien waar en hoe ze zijn vermoord. Een kamer van 19 is gewijd aan de Joodse Holocaust, omdat het gebouw van 1941-1944 werd gebruikt als het hoofdkwartier van de Duitse Gestapo en SD en een gevangenis, kazerne van het Sonderkommando van de stad Vilnius, waar Joden en anderen werden gedood. In september 2018 beëindigde paus Franciscus zijn bezoek aan Litouwen aan het KGB-museum en bad voor de slachtoffers van het Sovjetregime in Litouwen. De prijs voor de tickets 6EUR is niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs.

Reminded me of the struggles for Lithuanian independence which has made them vigilant in protecting their dignity and culture. There is a strong sense of pride and conservatism in Vilnius, an atmosphere of strength and resilience.
Perfect, wonderful, 100% real, mostly because the KGB conducted its operations in this very building, with the cells in the basement. An essential visit if you visit Vilnius

I recommend this visit, which is necessary, which allows us to know more about this part of history. The signs are well made. Nevertheless, the welcome of professionals is not pleasant...
We had a very good and informative guiding,- our guide Dorma had very good knowledge about everything at the museum and the history of Lithuania. We spent nearly two hours together and this was really excellent!!.
If you are in Vilnius carve out an hour to visit this museum which is semi-centrally located in a beautiful building just behind Gedimino prospekt. You will see the cells used to imprison Lithuanian patriots, the execution room, maps and period documents as well as very detailed historical descriptions. 6 euros well spent Visited Sunday, 20 October 2024 morning
immersive visit to the time of the KGB (small part on the Nazi occupation), we wander through the dungeons etc... very impressive.
We had a wonderful guided tour with Lukas in Vilnius. He knows his history and arranged most things for us. Very positive and nice guy. Highly recommended 😊
Excellent tour. I highly recommend. Fascinating content and history telling. Lucas was very passionate and knowledgeable, which made his explanations about the awful history of KGB very fascinating. Both myself and my daughter really enjoyed it. 5 stars!
Extensive material that depicts life during the Russian occupation, the road to liberation of Lithuania and the horrors of deportation. The KGB prison is very moving and definitely not for the faint hearted
