Afhankelijk van de optie die u kiest, kunt u de ondergrondse gangen van het Colosseum verkennen, door de gereconstrueerde arena wandelen of genieten van een fascinerende avondrondleiding door de ondergrondse gangen, wanneer het monument verlicht is en de sfeer nog indrukwekkender wordt. Tijdens het bezoek vertelt de gids de geschiedenis van het beroemdste amfitheater ter wereld en legt uit hoe gladiatoren, dieren en decors een rol speelden in de spektakels uit het oude Rome. Met de optie 'Underground Experience' ontdek je de verborgen gangen onder de arena en de complexe mechanismen die tijdens de wedstrijden worden gebruikt. Met de Arena Floor-tour kunt u het Colosseum vanuit een uniek perspectief bekijken, precies op de plek waar de gladiatoren vochten. Aan het einde van de dagexcursies kunt u uw bezoek aan het Forum Romanum en de Palatijnse heuvel op eigen gelegenheid voortzetten. Let op: het Forum en de Palatijnse heuvel zijn niet inbegrepen in de optie 'Underground by Night'.

Very well done tour. We found it very informative and the space was just right. Suggest you do early morning tour if you cannot handle the extreme heat in July.
This tour was fantastic we were a group of 4 family members all adults. The guide for the tour was easy to find her name is Rea and she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Colosseum and answered our questions fully and easily. We were given earpieces and receivers so that we could easily hear the commentary that Rea gave us.The communications worked very well. The total group size for the tour was six which was perfect for keeping up and asking questions. We would recommend this tour as going below ground gives you a greater understanding of the Gladiators and the naval battles …yes naval battles that were held there. You do also go up into the arena and into the seating areas and of course you are taken into places that the normal entry ticket does not get you into as well as no queuing which is a definite plus. Rea our guide really was excellent and we think the tour was good value for money we will recommend to friends and family with no hesitation.
Sayed was a fantastic tour guide for our group of two adults, 18 and 19 year old! We loved the underground tour and it was a highlight of our trip. Sayed was knowledgeable and added a great mix of fun to the tour. The communication from the tour company was clear, especially with so many tours being cancelled it was a relief to be reassured regarding our booking. Book asap, as this is a very limited tour and an essential part of the colleseum tour. It was amazing to get 'backstage pass' experience!

Our trip involved the unseen parts of the Colosseum. The Colosseum was extremely busy but the guide managed to guide us through by skipping the queues. Alex took us to parts beneath what would have been the arena floor and showed us an AI generated mock up of the gladiators tunnel from the Ludus Magnus. The areas where the animals were kept and ships built were also displayed. Alex was informative and had a relaxed easy manner which helped when explaining . We then went up to the main arena. Overall an excellent experience which lasted 2 1/2 hours
