Onze gids zal je vergezellen om een van de meest tot de verbeelding sprekende plekken in Rome te ontdekken: beginnend bij de wijk Celio en het Romeinse amfitheater, het Colosseum, komen we aan bij de kathedraal van Rome en het heiligdom van de Scala Santa en Sancta Sanctorum. U krijgt toegang tot en bezoekt de monumenten onder begeleiding van een deskundige en geaccrediteerde lokale gids. Je bezoekt ook de Basilica dei Santi Quattro Incoronati, die deel uitmaakt van een oud christelijk complex in de Romeinse wijk Celio, op de gelijknamige heuvel, en zijn beschilderde interieurs van een opmerkelijk historisch-artistiek niveau.

De tour begint vanaf de Rione Celio, waar het Colosseum, de Boog van Constantijn, de keizerlijke fora en andere symbolische monumenten van Rome zich bevinden.
De basiliek van San Giovanni in Laterano, ook wel de kathedraal van Rome genoemd, is de moederkerk van het bisdom Rome. Het is de eerste van de vier grote pauselijke basilieken en de oudste en belangrijkste basiliek in het Westen.
De Scala Santa en zijn 28 treden omhullen je in een intieme en suggestieve sfeer. Update: tijdens de tour bezoek je de Basilica dei Santi Quattro Incoronati IN PLAATS van de kapel van San Lorenzo. De basiliek van Santi Quattro Incoronati maakt deel uit van een oud christelijk complex in de Romeinse wijk Celio, op de gelijknamige heuvel.

A less-typical tour, in that your guide takes you to historical sites of religious importance you likely won't encounter elsewhere. Mildly challenging for some individuals, the small group is placed comfortably. Our experience guide was thoroughly knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We had plenty of time for photos, and culminated in climbing the sacred stairs. Great for those wanting to know about religious significance of buildings still preserved today.
I held this tour back for my last one and was absolutely magnificent, my tour guide Suzanne was wonderful and really knowledgable, the weather was raining but didn’t put us off at all. Thankyou
Isabella was wonderful. The cathedral we were supposed to visit was closed by the nuns for prayer unexpectedly, but without a pause she shifted and took us to St. John the Lateren Basilica for a very well informed tour with lots of great interaction. She left us with excellent directions to the cab station. Be sure to use this tour if you like a personal touch to your vacation.
Wish we could leave more then 5 stars! This tour went above and beyond our expectations! Our tour guide was magnificent - so knowledgeable, patient and kind! She allowed us extra time at each location to pray, show our respects, take in the grandeur and shop for souvenirs. We got a wealth of information about the Roman Church and Santa Scala. We even toured another church with her. We never felt rushed. At the end she even asked what more she could do for us. We highly recommend this tour!!!
