Piazza Mastai is een gezellig plein in Trastevere in Rome, bekend om zijn lokale winkels, cafés en bruisende buurtleven. Our family (with teens) loved our tour with Luca. He was very knowledgeable about the local produce & the area. The pace & food was perfect!
Mauro was an amazing tour guide as we explored some of the gems of Trastavere. We booked this tour for early in our trip to Rome so that we could learn about authentic Roman cuisine, and this hit the mark. We learned so much and left full of absolutely delicious food! My favourite was at Eggs for the pasta. Bring your appetites…I can’t believe how many stops we made.

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Alessia! We were fortunate to be part of a small group, which made the tour feel much more personal and relaxed. Alessia is incredibly knowledgeable about Italian history, culture, and local traditions, and she truly gave us an authentic perspective that only a local could provide. The selection of places we visited was outstanding, including hidden gems we never would have found on our own. She was warm, friendly, and patient, answering all of our questions with enthusiasm and sharing plenty of additional recommendations for places to visit, eat, and explore after the tour. Absolutely fantastic food tour! Our guide, Alessia, was incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate in sharing the true food culture of Trastevere. We especially appreciated the focus on supporting local family run businesses instead of the usual TikTok/Insta famous tourist spots. Every stop felt authentic, the food was outstanding, and we learned so much along the way. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly! There is delicious gelato at the end but I forgot to capture it.
This tour was well thought out as it included a variety of stops of local Trastevere establishments. Stefano, our guide was very passionate about the food and his beautiful city of Rome. The food was delicious and by the end of the tour, we were more than satiated. Highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to experience local food and a lively Roman neighborhood.

The porchetta was flavorful and perfectly prepared, the pizza was amazing, the pasta carbonara was rich and authentic, the suppli were delicious, and the gelato was the perfect finish. Every stop felt carefully chosen and gave us a true taste of local flavors.
