Volgens de nieuwe richtlijnen van het Colosseum is het toegangsticket nominatief en daarom is het verplicht om de VOLLEDIGE NAAM VAN ALLE DEELNEMERS op te geven. Neem deel aan een innovatieve self-guided ervaring die het toegangsticket voor het Colosseum combineert met onze exclusieve Virtual Reality tour. Dankzij de speciale Oculus-bril verken je het Colosseum zoals het was in de Romeinse tijd, met een unieke geanimeerde en interactieve reconstructie van het monument en zijn omgeving. Een geïntegreerde meertalige audio Gids zal u stap voor stap begeleiden, waardoor de geschiedenis voor uw ogen tot leven komt. Een echte meeslepende en multizintuiglijke ervaring voor het hele gezin : informatief, leerzaam en onderhoudend, geschikt voor alle leeftijden! Om veiligheidsredenen zijn er geen 3D-apparaten toegestaan in het Colosseum. De Virtual Reality experience vindt dus plaats buiten het monument, voor de entree met je tickets. We zullen elkaar ontmoeten bij de Boog van Constantijn, gelegen tussen het Colosseum en de Palatijnse heuvel is de grootste Romeinse triomfboog in Rome, in 315 opgericht door de Romeinse senaat om de keizer Constantijn te herdenken.
Ontmoet je assistent voor de Virtual Reality-ervaring en draag onze innovatieve Oculus VR-apparaten om een meeslepende reconstructie van het Colosseum-gebied in de Romeinse tijd te zien. Loop virtueel over het Colosseum-plein als een oude Romeinse burger en bewonder de prachtige monumenten die hier in de oudheid waren. Ga vervolgens de Colosseum-arena binnen om te helpen bij de gladiatorengevechten en kies het lot van de gewonde gladiatoren zoals jij de keizer was! Verken ten slotte de mysterieuze underground van het Colosseum, waar gladiatoren wachten op gevechten en slaven hard werken om de show tot een succes te maken.
Na de Virtual Reality experience word je toegevoegd aan een kleine groep (max 30). Na de toegangsprocedures en de verplichte veiligheidscontroles bent u vrij om het Colosseum te verkennen.
Na het bezoek aan het Colosseum bezoekt u de Palatijn/Romeins Forum en kunt u beide sites (die met elkaar verbonden zijn) zelf verkennen.

- ONTMOETINGSPUNT: Boog van Costantine, kant van het Colosseum. Je ontmoet onze medewerkers die een grote ZWARTE vlag zullen houden.
- Geef de VOLLEDIGE NAMEN van ALLE reizigers bij het boeken. Het niet tonen van een ticket met de juiste naam bij de ingang kan leiden tot toegang tot het Colosseum en het Forum Romanum.
- De virtual reality experience heeft een specifieke vertrektijd: als je te laat aankomt op het ontmoetingspunt, is het niet mogelijk om mee te doen met de groep of te verzetten, tenzij je opnieuw betaalt voor de activiteit. Volgens de no-show regels heeft u geen recht op restitutie.
- Om veiligheidsredenen is het niet mogelijk om een soort 3D-apparaat binnen te brengen in het Colosseum: de virtual reality-ervaring vindt plaats buiten het monument en voor het binnenkomen.
- Het Colosseum vereist verplichte toegangsprocedures (toon kinderen / onder de 18 jaar aan het personeel, voucher inwisselen) en verplichte veiligheidscontrole die zelfs moet worden uitgevoerd. Dit kan betekenen dat je nog even moet wachten voordat je het monument binnengaat, omdat dit gedeelte niet overgeslagen kan worden.
- De capaciteitsvoorschriften van het Colosseum (niet meer dan 3000 mensen tegelijk binnen) kunnen het vertrek van de tour vertragen. Dit kan ook van invloed zijn op het goede verloop van de tour, vooral op nationale feestdagen, in het weekend en in het hoogseizoen.
- Kinderen jonger dan 18 jaar moeten worden begeleid door een volwassene en moeten paspoorten of een geldig identiteitsbewijs bij zich hebben, omdat het personeel van het Colosseum kan vragen om ze bij de ingang te controleren.
- Draag comfortabele schoenen en neem je eigen fles water mee (geen glazen flessen/geen alcohol).
- De lokale exploitant is niet verantwoordelijk voor enig ongemak veroorzaakt door de sluiting van het Colosseum/Palatineheuvel/Romeins Forum als gevolg van stakingen, evenementen, slecht weer, enz.
- Het is ten strengste verboden om het Colosseum en Palatijnheuvel/Romeins Forum met bagage te betreden. Houd er rekening mee dat er geen bagageopslag is.
- Het is ten strengste verboden om het Colosseum te betreden met messen en enig snijvoorwerp. Let op dat je dit soort spullen niet meeneemt.
- De tour werkt ongeacht de weersomstandigheden.
- U dient 15 MINUTEN VOORAFGAAND aan de afgesproken vertrektijd aanwezig te zijn bij het verzamelpunt.
- Elke reiziger dient een geldig paspoort of ID-document te tonen dat overeenkomt met de naam die bij de boeking is opgegeven voor succesvolle toegang tot het Colosseum en het Forum Romanum.

A beautiful tour! We enjoyed it a lot, especially our son who is almost 7 years old. Our guide was very kind, patient with the child, and gave us useful tips for the rest of the visit. Highly recommended!

Great experience. Virtual tour provides a lot of info regarding the history of the places. Skip the line tickets don’t guarantee fast entrance though.

At the time of booking, I had purchased 3 skip-the-line tickets including a visit to the arena with audio guide for one adult and two children aged 11 and 14 (in theory I would have had to pay only € 18 for the adult) for a total of € 59.70. In fact, all I got was a receipt with a reservation number... without a ticket. The paper tickets (2 free and only one adult paying €18) were delivered to us by their contact person at the Arch of Constantine. No audio guide ... just the indication to install an app (we empty mobile phones), standard ticket without a visit to the arena and full of no traceability of what I had booked. Perhaps if they sent the tickets at the time of booking you would immediately realize the great fraud.
We scheduled skip the line for a designated time and when we arrived on time, the tour guides advised that we needed to wait 30 minutes before the tour would begin. It wouldn’t have been a problem but we had booked this tour within another Viator all day Rome tour. I even emailed the tour company that was listed (thru Viator) well before our trip to advise specifically about this and if it could be done. Sadly. We had to wait to enter the Col. then only had 20 minutes to try and see what we could. So basically I paid for our skip the line and couldnt use it. Plus they say no refunds!! When you give a firm time that the tour starts then you should stick to the firm time!! I feel this was not fair to us at all!!!
