Het Pantheon is een oude Romeinse tempel in Rome, oorspronkelijk gebouwd rond 27 voor Christus en later herbouwd door keizer Hadrianus in de 2e eeuw na Christus. Het is beroemd om zijn massieve betonnen koepel, die nog steeds de grootste onversterkte koepel ter wereld is, en zijn centrale oculus die naar de hemel opent. Oorspronkelijk gewijd aan alle Romeinse goden, doet het nu dienst als kerk en is het een van de best bewaarde monumenten van het oude Rome.

The Pantheon was really impressive. I loved seeing the huge dome and the oculus from inside, and the whole place has such a unique atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting while in Rome.

Visiting the Pantheon was a wonderful experience. We entered without any problems, and the audio guide provided us with lots of interesting information about its history and architecture. Visited the Pantheon and it completely exceeded my expectations - the dome and overall architecture are breathtaking, something photos simply cannot capture.
