De oudste wagenrenbaan
Misschien wel het meest iconische symbool van Rome, het Colosseum, is een oud amfitheater dat plaats biedt aan maximaal 80.000 toeschouwers. Het werd gebruikt voor gladiatorenwedstrijden, openbare spektakels en drama's gebaseerd op de klassieke mythologie. Het Colosseum is een meesterwerk van Romeinse techniek en architectuur, en het is een van de zeven nieuwe wereldwonderen.
Trastevere is een charmante en levendige wijk aan de westelijke oever van de Tiber, bekend om zijn smalle geplaveide straatjes, middeleeuwse huizen en het bruisende nachtleven. De Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, ook bekend als Il Fontanone, is een grandioze fontein op de Janiculum-heuvel. Het werd gebouwd in het begin van de 17e eeuw en markeert het eindpunt van het Acqua Paola-aquaduct, gerestaureerd om de wijk Trastevere van water te voorzien. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Rome! Everything was perfect from the lovely yellow fiat 500 in beautiful condition to the great communication and the engaging and informative guide. I was greeted by Matteo who was my guide and we set off around the main sights of Rome for just over an hour and stopped along the way for some amazing photo opportunities as well as winding through the narrow back streets of Rome to stop for ice cream and a refreshing drink, he even recommended a place for me to have some Italian street food and dropped me off there which was great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit Rome and get a true Italian experience. Thankyou soo much!
