Minder dan 1% van de Vaticaanse bezoekers beklimmen de Sint-Pieterskoepel, dit is een opmerkelijke statistiek, dus om deze reden hebben we besloten om het vanaf de top te nemen! Ontmoet je deskundige Vaticaanse gids aan het Sint-Pietersplein. Heilige trappen (en een lift) brengen je naar het Sint-Pietersterras van waaruit je heel Rome en zelfs de Tyrreense Zee kunt zien! Terug op vaste grond zul je ook de hele Sint-Pietersbasiliek bezoeken. Neem een pauze voordat je een korte wandeling maakt naar ons Vaticaanse ontmoetingspunt voor je tweede tour door Vaticaanstad en de Sixtijnse Kapel! Krijg snelle toegang tot de meesterwerken waardoor de Vaticaanse Musea absoluut gezien moeten worden in Rome.

Ontmoet uw deskundige gids van het Vaticaan op de drempel van het Sint-Pietersplein en banen uw weg over marmeren bestrating naar de trappen die naar boven en rond de koepel lopen. Er zijn in totaal 551, dus dit is natuurlijk te veel inspanning voor de meesten. We nemen de lift een deel van de weg, die de stapentelling met 171 verslaat, waardoor er 380 overblijven.
Vanaf het Sint-Pietersplein voert u de doorgangen in die naar de top van de prachtige koepel van Michelangelo leiden voor een prachtig uitzicht op Vaticaanstad en Rome.
Een volledig rondleiding door de Sint-Pietersbasiliek volgt je koepelklim. Het is een van de mooiste gebouwen ter wereld en het zal een diepe indruk op je ziel achterlaten.
Grote musea in Vaticaanstad met vele duizenden oude kunstwerken en beeldhouwwerken. Het belangrijkste museumcomplex ter wereld!
Geniet van de meesterwerken van Michelangelo, waaronder de Schepping van Adam en het Laatste Oordeel.

- Op dagen die onmiddellijk rond religieuze feestdagen in het Vaticaan plaatsvinden, kunnen aanpassingen aan rondleidingen noodzakelijk worden als gevolg van gedeeltelijke afsluitingen van gebieden die normaal in deze tour zijn opgenomen. In het geval dat de pauselijke tombes onder de Sint-Pietersbasiliek gesloten zijn, zal de rondleiding door de basiliek zelf worden verlengd en zullen geen terugbetalingen worden gedaan
- Vanwege de afgelegde route en/of het gebruikte vervoer is het niet mogelijk om deel te nemen aan deze tour met behulp van een rolstoel, scooter of ander hulpmiddel.
- De laatste beklimming te voet vereist het beklimmen van 320 enigszins steile treden in een besloten gebied. Mensen die lijden aan claustrofobie of andere gezondheidsproblemen worden geadviseerd om op het terrasniveau te blijven.

For the review I will break this into 2 parts the St. Peters dome climb and the Vatican. St. Peters/Dome: This was fantastic and our tour guide was Anastasia. She was funny and spoke good very good english/Italian. She gave us tidbits about St. Peters and had a good pace that allowed us to really enjoyed ourselves. Would 100% do this again with her and felt like I got to see everything. Vatican: For the Vatican we had a different tour guide and I don't remember her name. In my opinion I didn't get much out of the things she talked about her and honestly would have rather left her as soon as we got into the muesum so we could explore all the things I found interesting. After about 20-30 minutes I just took the ear piece out and read the placards. I would 100% recommend this to someone else and just tell them once they got into the Vatican to go at their own pace and enjoy what they found interesting.
The tour is good. You learn a lot about everything involved. Although, just for reference, look at the meeting place in additional comments for clarification. They had two different areas in which to meet. When we arrived we had trouble finding the correct meeting area, and missed the first part of our tour. However, the operating company was very responsive in their chat responses to help us catch them for part two of the tour. The only bummer was being out the $$$ for part one of the tour.
This was an absolutely wonderful experience! I'm so glad we got to see so much of St Peter's Cathedral, and I'm very happy that I chose to do the Dome climb even though it was VERY challenging. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. Meeting with the group was easy and the guide took care of our group very well. The Vatican itself, the museums, St Peter's, the Sistine Chapel - WOW! Just incredible. I had never imagined it would be so big. Our guide really made sure we had time to use the restrooms, get extra water (on a very hot & sunny day) and take photos and did a wonderful job keeping the group together and organized.

Nadya is an amazing guide. She is highly informative. When she speaks, she looks at each person to draw them in. Her presentation is vivid. She really brought the Vatican to life.
We took our grandchildren 18 and 20 to Rome. Sign them up for this tour as we have been to the Vatican numerous times. When they came back, they said the guide was exceptional and they really really enjoyed the tour.
Our Vatican tour was amazing, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to our incredible guide Marianna. Her knowledge, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire journey truly unforgettable. She brought Vatican to life with its history and her insights. I had injured my foot just before my two-week trip to Italy and was traveling on crutches. Although it was Marianna’s first time guiding someone with physical limitations, she went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout the tour. She proactively coordinated with officials, remained incredibly attentive to my needs, and made sure I could fully enjoy the experience at every step. While others went for the dome climb, she thoughtfully returned to check on me and even assisted me in navigating a few stairs. Her care, dedication, and kindness made a significant difference—this tour would not have been nearly as memorable without her support.
