Het Colosseum of Colosseum, ook bekend als het Flavische amfitheater, is een ovaal amfitheater in het centrum van de stad Rome, Italië. Gebouwd van travertijnkalksteen, tufsteen en beton met bakstenen muren, was het destijds het grootste amfitheater dat ooit werd gebouwd en plaatste het 50.000 tot 80.000 toeschouwers.
Het Forum Romanum, ook bekend onder de Latijnse naam Forum Romanum, is een rechthoekig forum omringd door de ruïnes van verschillende belangrijke oude overheidsgebouwen in het centrum van de stad Rome. Inwoners van de oude stad noemden deze ruimte, oorspronkelijk een marktplaats, het Forum Magnum, of gewoon het Forum.

I would book all my tours with Lina if we were going to be here more days. She shared so much information on the coliseum, arena floor and the forum. The history, the archeological finds and modern times. Having the small group tour made it easy to get plenty of time to view, listen and take pictures of this amazing part of Roman history. Our guide, Lina, gave us a wonderful and interesting tour of the Colosseum and Forum. She was pleasant, friendly and provided a paced and informative tour. We learned many interesting facts! We had the best tour this morning with Ala! I highly recommend the morning- it was a lot less busy and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Ala was super flexible with our group of two adults and two children- we explained our children’s short attention spans, and that we wished to do a more condensed, shorter version of the tour, and she stuck to highlights and kept the tour fun and interesting for our children. Best experience!!
