59th Street is een crosstown-straat in de New York City-wijk Manhattan, die loopt van York Avenue / Sutton Place tot de West Side Highway, met een discontinuïteit tussen Ninth Avenue / Columbus Avenue en Eighth Avenue / Central Park West, waar het Time Warner Center is gelegen.
De Bow Bridge is een gietijzeren brug in Central Park, New York City, over The Lake en gebruikt als voetgangerspad. Het is versierd met een in elkaar grijpende cirkels leuning, met acht planturnen bovenop decoratieve bas-reliëfpanelen.
De Bethesda-fontein, het prachtige middelpunt van het Bethesda-terras, is een van de grootste fonteinen in New York en meet zesentwintig voet hoog bij zesennegentig voet breed. Het is een van de meest bekende fonteinen ter wereld, en het standbeeld in het midden was het enige beeld dat in opdracht van het oorspronkelijke ontwerp van Central Park in gebruik is genomen. Dit neoklassieke beeldhouwwerk, ook bekend als Angel of the Waters, heeft een bronzen engel van acht voet die boven vier kleine cherubijnen staat die gezondheid, zuiverheid, matigheid en vrede vertegenwoordigen. De engel zelf draagt een lelie in één hand, terwijl de andere uitgestrekt blijft, klaar om een zegen te geven over het water dat rond haar voeten stroomt en in het bassin op de bodem van de fontein. Dit ter nagedachtenis aan de opening in 1842 van het Croton Aquaduct, dat New York van zoet water voorzag.

Yessssss — I Said YES! A Dream Come True in Central Park! This was the most incredible moment of my life, and I can’t thank the NYC Adventures team enough for making it so unbelievably special. My (now) husband planned the most perfect surprise proposal during a horse carriage ride in Central Park — and I said YES! After reading through the emails and texts they exchanged with him, I was blown away by how kind, thoughtful, and helpful the entire team was. They explained everything to him with such care and attention to detail, and it all came together even more beautifully than we could have imagined. Every little touch was perfect, and the whole experience was just… WOW! Thank you a million times over for creating such a magical and unforgettable memory for us. We’ll treasure it forever. 💖
My partner and I booked a romantic horse carriage ride through Central Park, and it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, our driver was warm, professional, and full of fascinating facts about the park and NYC history. The horse was well-groomed and clearly well-cared-for, which made us feel even better about the experience. The carriage itself was cozy and perfect for a romantic evening. We went just around sunset, and the views were absolutely stunning — the city lights starting to glow, the peacefulness of the park, and that classic New York charm all around us. It honestly felt like we were in a movie! This is hands-down one of the most memorable and romantic things we’ve done in the city. Whether you’re visiting NYC or you’re a local looking for a special date night idea, I can’t recommend this experience enough!

WOW - These guys were incredible, and I would highly recommend them. The booking process was easy, they responded immediately to my son’s emails and answered all his questions to put his mind at ease. The carriage and “Trigger” the horse was decorated beautifully, the driver, private photographer and videographer were an amazing team, they went above and beyond to truly make this a special experience we can't thank them enough!
The whole process was perfect. Right away from enquiring with the company through WhatsApp, talking to a representative over the photo laying out what was going to happen, to the carriage ride ( the tour guide engaged the perfect amount, not to much, not too little), to being so casual at our “first photo opportunity” where the photographer was waiting, hidden in the dark to sneak up right at the perfect time to take the photos. My now fiancé and I absolutely loved it. It was really perfect. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you to everyone involved. From our rider Honor, to the photographer, and the whole team who was involved.
It was an amazing experience. The driver was unbelievable and made it a truly amazing experience. We will definitely repeat this experience next time we visit New York City!
It was a very nice informative carriage ride, driver Louis had a lot of knowledge and information to share. I would recommend you ask for him to be your driver. It was very romantic I proposed in a gazebo right on the edge of the lake very peaceful and beautiful I highly recommend this trip.
