Je reis naar de oudheid begint bij het Colosseum, een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden ter wereld. Je gids zal een beroep doen op hun historische en archeologische expertise om je alles te vertellen over de veldslagen, zowel fysiek als politiek, die zich in dit ongelooflijke amfitheater hebben afgespeeld. Het zal je misschien verbazen als je hoort dat ‘Gladiator’ niet alles goed heeft gedaan en dat de Romeinen dankzij oude technische hoogstandjes hier zelfs zeeslagen konden naspelen.
En de volgende stop brengt je terug naar het allereerste begin. De Palatijn is de plek die Romulus uitkoos om de stad te stichten die in 753 voor Christus Rome zou worden – een beslissing die voor zijn broer Remus in een tragedie eindigde. Hier, doordrenkt van geschiedenis, geniet je van een spectaculair uitzicht op je volgende bestemming: het Forum Romanum.
De volgende stop is het Forum en de Via Sacra (de Heilige Weg), het hart van het oude Rome. Het hele Romeinse leven was te vinden op deze bruisende marktplaats: handel en handel, politieke bijeenkomsten, militaire parades en de heilige ceremonies van de Vestaalse maagden.

Our guided tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with the lovely Simone, was a highlight of our visit to Rome. Simone took very good care of us in the heat and was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history to life. We learned so much and appreciated the opportunity to explore these incredible sites with expert insight. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome!
Beware of this tour operator. They moved up the time without calling us. (We had a tour of the Vatican that changed time but they made sure to contact us ) We arrived 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time and found out they had left without us. They said they sent an email! Who reads email on vacation?!! They refused to refund or rebook our tour. Total SCAM! There were 6 of us and we paid $600!! Do NOT use this company !!!
They canceled two days before as they did not have the tickets. They were probably able to sell them for a higher price
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, however we would like to clarify an important point regarding the cancellation. The decision to cancel a tour due to lack of Colosseum ticket availability is always a last resort for us, never a commercial choice. We do everything possible to secure the necessary tickets in advance in order to operate all tours as planned. Unfortunately, in some cases, ticket allocations provided by the official site are limited or released in reduced quantities, and this is completely outside of our control. When this happens, we are forced to cancel in order to avoid overbooking or providing a service that cannot be properly delivered. This is never done lightly, and it is certainly not related to reselling tickets at a higher price, as suggested in your review. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. However, we want to reassure you that our priority is always to operate the tour whenever possible and to be fully transparent with our guests when external constraints prevent it. We hope this clarifies the situation.
